Avionics SME (#1806209)

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Avionics SME to support our Huntsville, AL location.

This position is in support of a Future Vertical Lift Project Office as an avionics SME during the development of aviation system/subsystem specifications, reference/system architectures, milestone documentation, program briefings, white papers, and other products.

Duties Include:

• Provide technical support in the development of aircraft mission systems specifically about mission equipment (ME) and mission equipment packages (MEP)
• Assist in the identification, management, and assessment of technical maturity of critical avionics technologies
• Interface with other Program Management Offices (PMOs) and other agencies developing and/or providing critical avionics technologies
• Execute independent programs of record and communicate priorities
• Synchronize timelines associated with delivery of these critical technologies for integration into the program of record
• Provide engineering review of all contractor avionics technical efforts, including S&T and IR&D
• Represent the Project Office during technical reviews covering mission systems.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience with integrating avionics on aviation systems
• Experience with verification and validation, planning and execution
• Experience with airworthiness qualification
• Knowledge of contract requirements and documents (Systems Engineering Plans, Performance Work Statements, etc.)
• Work effectively with others in a teaming environment
• Travel: Up to 20%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

BS degree and a minimum of ten years of work in (a) technical field(s) related to aviation. Experience may be substituted in place of education.
