Manages the College’s vehicle fleet, fuel system, and driving records of all employees that use fleet vehicles.
Partners with various College departments and divisions to prepare buildings and grounds for scheduled activities.
Receives, processes, and coordinates work requests for all facilities repair, maintenance, and custodial requests.
Monitors information sources regarding inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. Consults with the Vice President of Administration & Finance to make recommendations on College cancellations, late starts, and early dismissals.
Maintains records, files, maintenance agreements, contracts, and warranty information for equipment and mechanical systems.
Serves as liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors regarding new construction, major renovations, and remodeling.
Facilitates projects to ensure they are completed within time, design, and budget specifications.
Develops and implements short and long-range maintenance plans to ensure resources are effectively utilized.
Participates in College safety planning to ensure staff are educated on the regulations of state and local codes.
Oversees recycling and garbage disposal for entire campus as well as driving new green initiatives.
Evaluates and implements energy conservation methods.
Participates in reviews for ADA, EPA, DNR, OSHA requirements related to the college's campus and buildings.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or Technology Management.
Three (3) years of experience in the operations, the maintenance, and the support of commercial buildings.
Must possess a current driver’s license valid in the State of Iowa and a driving record insurable by the College’s insurer. Must be able to obtain additional endorsements as needed.
Ability to obtain an OSHA 30-hour card for General Industry within twelve (12) months of hire.
Experience with commercial building construction, building systems and the required maintenance procedures for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression systems, low voltage systems (security/camera).
Knowledge of financial rules, required compliance regulations, laws, and procedures.
Must possess supervisory skills.
Knowledge of budget management and fiscal monitoring.
Knowledge of state and local building, safety, ADA, and health codes.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on cross country and distance events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Due to the nature of the work involved in coaching; many weeks will entail morning, evening, and weekend hours. Needs of the department varies and the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.

Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Men’s and Women’s Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions with an emphasis on cross country and distance events. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Division of Student Affairs & Institutional Diversity is seeking a full time Brock Student Center Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the general oversight and management of the daily operations as well as the daily activities of the café’s food and beverage function.
At Hawkeye, the Brock Student Center is a place on our campus where students, faculty, and staff come to connect, eat, relax, or study. Makes all arrangements for special board meetings including retreats and Policy Governance training/updates for all new and current Board members.
Performs required Board secretary duties as outlined in the Code of Iowa, to include record preservation, taking meeting minutes, collaborating with Treasurer to keep accurate financial records of expenses and funds.
Ensures all legal requirements are met regarding board meeting proceedings including Code of Iowa 279 and 260C appeals and Chapter 20 and 21 closed and exempt board sessions.

About the PEC Community Farm at Roundabout Meadows
Launched in 2019, the PEC Community Farm at Roundabout Meadows is an 8-acre farm operation that grows produce for local food pantries, utilizing organic and regenerative techniques. The farm consists of 4.5 acres of vegetable production, 1 acre of orchard and berries, naturalized areas to support pollinators and beneficial insects, as well as a small flock of laying hens. Engagement with volunteers, schools, and community organizations is a vital part of the farm, which not only provides opportunities for the public to engage with their local food system and give back, but also fosters lasting relationships with the community. Highly visible through its productivity, use of a volunteer workforce, and engagement with the community, the Community Farm promotes the importance of land stewardship, access to fresh foods, and mutual aid. Through the collaborative efforts of the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager and Community Farm Coordinator, volunteers actively participate in local agriculture, local residents have access to farm tours and educational workshops, and families in need throughout Loudoun County benefit from increased access to fresh, healthy, locally-produced fruits, vegetables, and eggs.
Your Role
PEC is seeking to hire a Community Farm Coordinator to manage the Community Farm. The Community Farm Coordinator will possess strong experience and knowledge of sustainable farming with an interest in regenerative growing methods. The farm coordinator must demonstrate an aptitude to engage and cultivate new relationships within the Loudoun County community, be willing to collaborate with the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager to develop and lead educational workshops, as well as coordinate, manage and maintain volunteer groups throughout the growing season. Examples of activities include:
Have an integral role in the management of a full farm operation, which includes (1) create production plans in coordination with local food pantries; (2) operate tractors and tractor-drawn implements as needed; (3) manage daily farm operations, including planting, weeding, harvesting, and delivery coordination with food pantries; (4) plan for and manage the life-cycle maintenance of farm equipment, tools and buildings; and, (5) manage a wide range of volunteers and school groups.
Work in collaboration with the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager to engage with citizens and local agriculture organizations to continue development of a community-centered space that supports a strong volunteer corp and provides outdoor, hands-on learning experiences and produces fresh, healthy food for area food pantries.
Maintain accurate harvest records and field logs.
Assure that best management practices and safety protocols are followed.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to be added to farm management documents.
Assist with broader property management tasks at the Roundabout Meadows and Gilberts Corner Market properties as assigned. Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Soil sampling

Tree planting
Fence maintenance
Oversee the daily tasks of farm support staff.
Manage and rotate a flock of 15-20 laying hens throughout the farm.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, or related field preferred. Applicants with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum of 2-4 years farming experience, with experience managing a direct-to-consumer market fruit and/or vegetable operation highly desirable.

The farm consists of 4.5 acres of vegetable production, 1 acre of orchard and berries, naturalized areas to support pollinators and beneficial insects, as well as a small flock of laying hens. Engagement with volunteers, schools, and community organizations is a vital part of the farm, which not only provides opportunities for the public to engage with their local food system and give back, but also fosters lasting relationships with the community. Highly visible through its productivity, use of a volunteer workforce, and engagement with the community, the Community Farm promotes the importance of land stewardship, access to fresh foods, and mutual aid. Through the collaborative efforts of the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager and Community Farm Coordinator, volunteers actively participate in local agriculture, local residents have access to farm tours and educational workshops, and families in need throughout Loudoun County benefit from increased access to fresh, healthy, locally-produced fruits, vegetables, and eggs.
Your Role
PEC is seeking to hire a Community Farm Coordinator to manage the Community Farm. The Community Farm Coordinator will possess strong experience and knowledge of sustainable farming with an interest in regenerative growing methods. The farm coordinator must demonstrate an aptitude to engage and cultivate new relationships within the Loudoun County community, be willing to collaborate with the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager to develop and lead educational workshops, as well as coordinate, manage and maintain volunteer groups throughout the growing season. Examples of activities include:
Have an integral role in the management of a full farm operation, which includes (1) create production plans in coordination with local food pantries; (2) operate tractors and tractor-drawn implements as needed; (3) manage daily farm operations, including planting, weeding, harvesting, and delivery coordination with food pantries; (4) plan for and manage the life-cycle maintenance of farm equipment, tools and buildings; and, (5) manage a wide range of volunteers and school groups.
Work in collaboration with the Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager to engage with citizens and local agriculture organizations to continue development of a community-centered space that supports a strong volunteer corp and provides outdoor, hands-on learning experiences and produces fresh, healthy food for area food pantries.
Maintain accurate harvest records and field logs.
Assure that best management practices and safety protocols are followed.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to be added to farm management documents.
Assist with broader property management tasks at the Roundabout Meadows and Gilberts Corner Market properties as assigned. Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Soil sampling
Trail maintenance
Tree planting
Fence maintenance
Oversee the daily tasks of farm support staff.
Manage and rotate a flock of 15-20 laying hens throughout the farm.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, or related field preferred. Applicants with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum of 2-4 years farming experience, with experience managing a direct-to-consumer market fruit and/or vegetable operation highly desirable.

Our fast-paced Business Development Team is looking for a Proposal Coordinator with experience in the development of compliant and compelling federal proposals. The successful applicant will be a proactive "go-getter" and must be able to work well as part of a team. The candidate will work coordinating efforts across several projects simultaneously, requiring self-organization and time management skills.
Job Duties:
Organize and participate in team meetings
Maintain and coordinate schedules
Schedule resources and facilities
Format proposal materials and edit documents for grammar and content
Request, collect, and organize information such as data calls and writing assignments
Maintain files and resource libraries in SharePoint
Develop proposal compliance matrices
Prepare PowerPoint briefings for proposal meetings
Prepare internal and external correspondence, complete timely/accurate data entry, and compile/analyze reports
Research, collect, and store business development data and information
Search for relevant data and verify accuracy to give the Business Development team greater insight into opportunities.
Research and document key customer organization structure, POCs, and program specific decision makers
Data entry and validation within our Customer Relationship Management tool
Assist in administrative duties for the Proposal Managers and Proposal Operations
Assist in conference and industry event coordination, scheduling, and planning
Limited weekend and after-hours work may be required
Required Skills/Experience :
HIGHLY PROFICIENT in planning, time management, and organizational skills
HIGHLY PROFICIENT in Microsoft Office Software to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
Work efficiently and effectively with flexibility under tight deadlines in a team environment
Experience in the proposal development process
Exceptionally meticulous attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills; proofreading and editing skills preferred
Experience coordinating and liaising with several parties on a single project
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Government contracting industry preferred
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Work well with professionals from various backgrounds
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
2-3 years of relevant work experience working in a government contracting industry is highly preferred
Desired Skills :
Familiarity with or training in Shipley proposal development methods
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and formatting skills
APMP certification would be viewed favorable
