Maintenance Specialist General Duties: The Maintenance Specialist Assists in the care and maintenance of assigned property. Works with entire camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Responsibilities
Assists with property security practices & procedures.
Assists in the care for and maintenance of camp facilities, grounds including roads & fences, property & program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
To help reduce the level of risk, ensures that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and helps prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction projects.
Cross Functional Work
Supports care of livestock, providing feeding, and daily chores.
Assists with the delivery of equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.

In coordination with the camp team, facilitate camper program delivery, check-in & check-out procedures, orientation, and other operational logistics.

Summer Camp Maintenance Specialist at Tomahawk Ranch

Maintenance Specialist General Duties: The Maintenance Specialist Assists in the care and maintenance of assigned property. Works with entire camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Responsibilities
Assists with property security practices & procedures.
Assists in the care for and maintenance of camp facilities, grounds including roads & fences, property & program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
To help reduce the level of risk, ensures that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and helps prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction projects.
Cross Functional Work
Supports care of livestock, providing feeding, and daily chores.
Assists with the delivery of equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.
Deliver emergency support during on-site incidents.
Provide and support safe and healthy practices.
In coordination with the camp team, facilitate camper program delivery, check-in & check-out procedures, orientation, and other operational logistics.
Assist with the management of site and program equipment, including storage, care, inventory, and maintenance.
Provide additional support as necessary to facility staff, camp team, kitchen, and housekeeping staff members.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Work on the development of daily and weekly schedules, under the direction of supervisors and in cooperation with all staff.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Provide & participate in staff feedback forms as necessary for the camp's overall strategic planning.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.

Day Camp Site Director General Duties: The Day Camp Site Director will be the lead for all day camp staff and assist with all activities including administrative tasks, childcare licensing site visits, health department inspections, emergency actions and other leadership tasks. Directors will also assist with guiding, supervising, and counseling in the outdoors with elementary age Girl Scouts at local nature parks in the Denver Metro area throughout the summer to help them gain invaluable experience in outdoor recreation, leadership, confidence and so much more! Activities include but are not limited to hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, outdoor skills, archery, Girl Scout outdoor badges, teambuilding, camp games and other activities.

Six semester hours in course work from a regionally accredited university; or
40 hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children.
Experience working in an outdoor program, camp, or educational setting.
Documented training, experience, or certification in applicable outdoor program areas.
Have current, or be willing to obtain, the following certifications through day camp staff training:
CPR/First Aid
Archery, USA Level 1 instructor
Paddle Sports Facilitator

Must be able to pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.
Must have at least three years driving experience, a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to Girl Scout standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate outdoor and camp programs:
Facilitate high-quality outdoor and camp programming for Girl Scouts that meet the needs of Girl Scouts and fosters the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Work with childcare licensing and health department specialists during site visits.
Ensure all regulations are being followed at camp and fix issues that may arise.
Act as the direct contact for pick-up and drop-off for camper families.
Create programming that is exciting, progressive, skill based and inclusive of Girl Scouts of all ages, ability levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
Adapt activities and methods to individual and group needs and abilities, provide opportunities for Girl Scouts to experience variety, challenge, and progression.
Use experiential, Girl Scout-led methods of instruction, and positive group management in accordance with the outdoor program department procedures and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Supervise and mentor Day Camp staff throughout the season.
Be prepared with activities for all types of weather and other changes in the planned program.
Additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Ability to tow an enclosed trailer around Denver Metro area.
Act as the supervising staff person for staff members and campers:
Demonstrate a caring attitude and manner with staff and campers. Act as a role model of Girl Scout values for campers and staff.
Guide Girl Scouts in becoming a group that includes and appreciates all members and honors individuality.
Build appropriate and positive relationships with campers and communicate participant or group issues to Outdoor Programs and Events Manager.
Ensure and assist that all tasks are being completed correctly including gear cleanup/usage and keep a supply list to send to Outdoor Programs and Events manager.
Keep a high level of patience and understanding with campers and other staff during high stress times.
Help resolve any small conflicts with staff and parents or contact manager to assist.
Prevent accidents and injuries through maintaining safety and risk management standards:
Implement Girl Scout, State of Colorado, and American Camp Association safety standards.
Conduct ongoing site inspection for hazards and verify that equipment is in safe condition before each use and is used properly for participants.
Give first-aid care and complete required documentation of care.
Respond to emergencies as appropriate in dynamic outdoor situations.
Participate as a professional member of the GSCO staff in providing effective staff service to the Council:
Be an active member of the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., demonstrating the principles of the Girl Scout Promise and Law in all activities.
Present a positive image to campers, parents, and volunteers through all interactions.
Participate in staff training, attend staff meetings, participate in the evaluation process, and contribute to the planning of the work of the staff team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The SAF-IS Regional Program Specialist Non - Mobile assists in the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures but will focused on supporting the delivery of International Services (IS) U.S. programs and services to include International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Youth Action Campaign (YAC) and Restoring Family Links (RFL). This is accomplished through managing volunteers and working with other Red Cross departments to support strong visibility for SAF/IS U.S. throughout the military community. Serves as part of the Hero Care Center Contingency Team. Acts as the first line of supervision and support to provide casework expertise and manage volunteers and other staff members during surge situations and disaster responses. Supports Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) as necessary in accordance with the DCS COOP SAF responsibilities. Maintains deployment readiness at all times by completing medical requirements, clearance requirements and by completing ongoing training requirements to maintain proficiency with casework and relationship management. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD: Relationship Management and Community Outreach: Serves as the face of the Red Cross at assigned location. Assists the SAF-IS Regional Manager and/or Director in building strong relationships and partnerships with external constituents in the local community, including government organizations, corporate partners, civic organizations and other community charitable and nonprofit agencies with the purpose of furthering the mission of the Red Cross. Outreach includes command meetings, education briefings, presentations, or information sessions. Establish and maintain effective command relationships during deployment. Volunteer Management: Assists in the development and implementation of a strategic volunteer program to engage and enable delivery of all Red Cross programs and services on military installations and local communities within their regional jurisdiction. Recruits and trains volunteers in the delivery of SAF and IS U.S. programs and services. Supervises volunteer staff in their daily work responsibilities. Assigns and supervises volunteers during surge situations for the Hero Care Center. Service Delivery Management: Ensures the delivery of SAF core services and IS U.S. Programs to all clients within their jurisdiction. Supports other lines of Red Cross service to ensure the delivery of Red Cross Training Services, disaster preparedness and response and Red Cross Blood Services. Services may include conducting training, meetings, presentations, and workshops as well as scheduling, recruitment, marketing and providing materials and support throughout the community. Hero Care Network Contingency Team: Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during emergency situations at the SAF Hero Care Center. Completes required training to ensure competency in the performance of all call center responsibilities to include intake, verification and delivery of emergency messages between service members and their families and other services as needed. Required to provide casework services for the Hero Care center remotely to ensure continued competency. Required to support the Hero Care Centers on short notice during surge or disaster situations. This support may be on site or remote as appropriate. Must also respond to periodic readiness drills. Serves as SME, assigns responsibilities to volunteers and manages volunteer caseworkers during surge situations and disaster responses. Deployment Readiness: Mobile staff are required to deploy and maintain readiness at all times. In order to maintain their annual readiness certification, the following is required: Deployment Familiarization Training on military culture and protocols, command relationships, do’s & don’ts while deployed and scenario-based situations. Advanced leadership training and advanced casework training must be completed. All trainings must be recertified annually to ensure continued readiness Once activated for deployment, staff will meet regularly with senior leadership to ensure readiness and ability to backfill OCONUS SAF-IS Mobile positions as needed. Additional training with site specific scenarios with the current staff members at their deployment location is required. Additional deployment medical requirements must be met. Must obtain a no-fee passport prior to deployment and a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) upon arrival. Reporting & Admin Support: Monitors and reports on American Red Cross Service Delivery Outcomes. Interacts with customers and other teams to obtain data to document outcomes and program results to ensure organizational accountability. The Intensive Housing & Health Case Manager is a member of the Supportive Housing Program (SHP) team and provides comprehensive individualized support services using a client centered harm reduction trauma informed model. The person in this role is responsible for monthly home visits, accompanying participants to medical and benefits appointments and connecting participants to community base resources. The Intensive Housing and Health Case Manager will ensure program adherence to documentation guidelines as set forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

Housing Case Management
• Conducts home visits at least monthly to ensure housing stability

Clark College’s Nursing Program is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified Program Specialist 2. The Program Specialist 2 is a dynamic position with two distinct yet related roles which support student success and effective program operations. This role will work collaboratively with the administrative team and bring both administrative skills and experience in success coaching, including motivation techniques, and the ability to identify barriers, and suggest success strategies. This is an opportunity to work one-on-one with students and in groups to help remove barriers to assist students in achieving their academic and career goals. The position also provides essential administrative support and communication for several department program processes related to selective admission and batch enrollment. This position is expected to be hybrid (on-campus three days per week with an option for hybrid/remote work a maximum of two days per week) and will begin May 1, 2023.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist in the delivery of support services to nursing students to promote student progression and improve program completion rates.
Coordinate and collaborate with the Associate Director of Outcomes, Inclusion & Support regarding new student orientation and ongoing student support.
Offer individual appointments, group sessions, or workshops to assist students in navigating systems; remove barriers, develop components of an individualized success plan, and access resources and community services.
Support new student academic orientation by leading administrative organization and facilitating student support content.
Assist students in goal setting, time management, organizational techniques, and self-care strategies.
Provide referrals to financial assistance resources, housing, food, transportation, childcare, and/or scholarships.
Provide support and training on managing test anxiety, study tips, life balance, career counseling, resume building, and APA workshops.
Develop and maintain partnerships with Clark College and community support services.
Maintain service delivery records and database with statistics required by nursing program accreditation and regulation.
Provide information to students, staff, professional partners, and the public regarding program content, policies, and activities through a variety of communication modalities (email, Canvas, Zoom, and formal documents). Direct specific inquiries from students to the appropriate nursing department or campus contact.
Work collaboratively with Nursing Department leadership and the college Advising Office personnel in the program entry process, maintain applicant status updates, and compose appropriate status notification letters to advise students of selection status.
Create and maintain accurate records of student selection and status; create, maintain, and update documents associated with scheduling and batch enrollment of all students in the nursing program. Utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, and SharePoint.
Manage multiple priorities within a dynamic environment, while providing appropriate support to students, faculty, and staff in a collaborative atmosphere.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, or equivalent education/experience.
Three (3) years of experience in student services or success coaching, or a related field.
