Our Senior Associates are nimble facilitators, practiced in the use of protocols to lead conversations about practice, policy, and systems. A substantial part of our work is about bringing people together and ensuring all stakeholders have a voice in the conversation. In this role, you’ll work with school communities to structure and facilitate these important conversations.
Collecting data and reflecting on practice in cycles of learning and improvement. Senior Associates are supported by our Co-Directors of Coaching and our Director of Research and Evaluation in creating work plans for each school contract. You’ll develop credible theories of action, collect appropriate progress monitoring data, and determine how your work contributes to positive outcomes for the schools you coach.
Facilitating workshops and conference sessions. While coaching is the primary focus of this role, we also host and present at conferences throughout the year. Many of these presentations will be a team effort.
Developing and implementing tools for school improvement. Our staff are incredibly talented and creative people who routinely create new processes and resources for use in schools and communities. You’ll work collaboratively to develop tools and resources for use with schools and in workshops. Many of these will also be featured in toolkits on our website.

You will participate in monthly all-staff learning and planning days and monthly coaching retreats for senior associates to learn, plan, and develop new skills and resources. Starting salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. Our Coaching Associates work in tandem with our Senior Associates, Project Leads, and Coaching Directors to transform practices, policies, and organizational models to ensure equitable outcomes for all students. This job involves working in close partnership with GSP Senior Associates on projects and school and district contracts to coach educators and leaders virtually and in person. In this role, you’ll be building your skills toward facilitating professional development in organizational design, leadership, teaching and learning, and community engagement, working on teams and in partnership with other GSP coaches and leaders on various contracts, projects, and tools. What’s the big plan for this job?
Our Coaching Associates work in tandem with our Senior Associates, Project Leads, and Coaching Directors to transform practices, policies, and organizational models to ensure equitable outcomes for all students. This job involves working in close partnership with GSP Senior Associates on projects and school and district contracts to coach educators and leaders virtually and in person. In this role, you’ll be building your skills toward facilitating professional development in organizational design, leadership, teaching and learning, and community engagement, working on teams and in partnership with other GSP coaches and leaders on various contracts, projects, and tools. We view this Coaching Associate role as a stepping stone to a Senior Associate position. Given that, Coaching Associates will engage in additional professional learning opportunities throughout the year to hone their skills.
What will I be doing?
On site and virtual school coaching focused on achieving equitable outcomes. The bulk of your days will be assigned to contract work on GSP teams in schools and districts both in New England and across the country. You’ll be working with colleagues to support building and district leaders, leadership teams, staff, and, in some cases, school board and community members to support the development of sustainable plans for improvement. While we do have numerous tools and structures to support our work, each assignment is unique and our coaching is context-based and responsive to the unique needs of our partners.
Supporting schools to implement the following high-leverage approaches: a. Anti-racist, inclusive, and equitable practices, policies, and cultures; b. Proficiency-based teaching and learning; c. Multiple and flexible pathways that promote deep learning as well as student voice and choice; d. Shared, data-informed decision-making amongst educators, students, families, and community members; e. Trusting relationships between and among students, families, and educators; f. Professional learning groups
Convening and facilitating conversations among educators, students, families and members of the broader school community. Our Coaching Associates work alongside Senior Associates to build capacity in the use of protocols to lead conversations about practice, policy, and systems. A substantial part of our work is about bringing people together and ensuring all participants have a voice in the conversation. In this role, you’ll work with school communities and GSP staff to structure and facilitate these important conversations.
Collecting data and reflecting on practice in cycles of learning and improvement. Coaching Associates are supported by our Directors of Coaching and our Director of Research and Evaluation in creating work plans for each school contract. You’ll work with your team to develop credible theories of action, collect appropriate progress monitoring data, and determine how your work contributes to positive outcomes for the schools you coach.
Facilitating workshops and conference sessions. While coaching is the primary focus of this role, we also host and present at conferences throughout the year. Many of these presentations will be a team effort.
Developing and implementing tools for school improvement. Our staff are incredibly talented and creative people who routinely create new processes and resources for use in schools and communities. You’ll work collaboratively to develop tools and resources for use with schools and in workshops. Many of these will also be featured in toolkits on our website.
Learning and reflecting together with colleagues. You will participate in all-staff learning and planning days and coaching retreats for Coaching Associates and Senior Associates to learn, plan, and develop new skills and resources. You will participate in professional learning groups and work as part of a team on many contracts which will provide the opportunity for you to learn from your colleagues and for them to learn from you. In addition, Coaching Associates will engage in a more intensive professional learning program, supported by Coaching Directors, to accelerate skills and knowledge across all areas of GSP coaching.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range for this position is $70,550-$83,000 based on experience. GSP covers full cost of health insurance for each staff member, 50% of costs of family health insurance, an additional 2.5% of salary contributed to a 403(b) retirement plan, an additional 4.5% of salary into a flex fund for health care or retirement, four weeks of vacation, five personal days, six sick days, nine holidays, tuition reimbursement, and eight weeks of paid parental leave.

Chispa, a program of LCV, works to ensure that Latine communities and leaders have a strong voice in the movement for climate justice and within the environmental movement and influence the environmental policies and decisions that impact our health and environment. Based in the Community & Civic Engagement department, Chispa has programs in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, and Texas.
LCV is hiring a Chispa Federal Climate Organizer in Nevada who will help create and implement federal organizing strategies. The Chispa Federal Climate Organizer will be an experienced community organizer who is tasked with engaging and building relationships with communities of color across Nevada to take action in the fight against pollution, climate change, environmental racism and to promote clean air, clean water, clean jobs, clean energy and other federal campaigns. This position will be part of a dynamic, skilled, and growing data-driven organizing team, working closely with the Chispa Nevada state team, national Organizing and Government Affairs teams, and Nevada community members and leaders to ensure that communities are civically engaged and a part of the decision-making process that impacts their health and environment. The ideal candidate has organizing experience in Nevada and is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about the fight for climate justice and ready to take action to hold polluters accountable and advocate for community driven solutions to address climate change and environmental racism.
Responsibilities:
Organize, manage and lead successful issue campaigns that engage with Latine families in their state around issues of climate change and environmental justice, among other priority issues.
Take the lead in managing education efforts for federal issue campaigns that engage community members.
Build, develop and train a base of dedicated Latine grassroots leadership in the community that will have a long-term leadership voice advocating for environmental justice, community health policies and values in the community.
Identify potential new members and engage them by conducting one-on-one’s, house meetings, presentations, door-knocking and utilizing other community organizing methods.
Support volunteer leaders in the development and sustaining of organizing committees who are involved in advancing campaign goals.
Build relationships with schools, churches, community organizations, labor unions, public health groups, etc. to work in partnership to advance shared goals.
Track organizing work meticulously in EveryAction and other databases, submit reports to the Chispa state Program Director, and National Senior Organizing Director.
Work closely with the organizing team and other departments to implement and evaluate issue-organizing campaigns that successfully recruit constituents, build grassroots leaders and get the attention of decision makers and media.
Work closely with Chispa staff and members to grow our grassroots organizing efforts in communities impacted by environmental injustices.
Work with the Chispa, Communications and Digital, Campaigns and Government Affairs teams to plan and implement decision maker meetings, briefings and organizing trainings related to federal issues that impact communities in Nevada, as needed.
Travel up to 25% of the time in-state and out-of-state for organizing activities and staff retreats and conferences, as needed.
Join meetings with the state Chispa team (virtually or quarterly in-person), external partners and key stakeholders, as needed.
Qualifications:
Work Experience : Required – Minimum 3 years in grassroots community, issue or labor organizing programs. Successful track record of grassroots community organizing, training volunteers, leadership development, implementing strategies and tactics, and forming alliances with other groups. Preferred – Experience working with a CRMand Google Suites. Experience organizing in Nevada.

Position Details:

We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, exempt basis for an annual salary of $53,000 dependent upon experience; plus an additional annual language differential of $3,600 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. LCV is hiring a Director of Development Partnerships focused on major donor engagement in the New England and upstate New York regions, who will be a part of a fundraising team with ambitious revenue and program goals. The Development department’s fundraising program engages major donors for the LCV family of organizations including LCV, LCV Action Fund, LCV Victory Fund, and LCV Education Fund, and raises money for political candidates through our GiveGreen program.
The Director of Development Partnerships joins an extremely skilled, hard-working and growing development team, which is building the budget, power, and effectiveness of our family of organizations. This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits annually with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Varying degrees of coordination and collaboration with state affiliates in the region is required. To that end, the Director must be oriented toward and motivated by nurturing and growing these relationships.
Develop and support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for LCV’s President and other key staff and board members.
Recruit donors and prospects to a variety of LCV fundraising and cultivation events, playing a key role in meeting the event and engagement objectives and key results for the Major Gifts team.
Contribute to organizational and department efforts to infuse racial justice and equity into all aspects of our work, including our fundraising as well as service on committees or working groups.
Write persuasive and personalized emails, letters and proposals to donors and prospects including in depth descriptions of our programs and role in environmental advocacy and politics, ensuring racial justice and equity is centered in our messaging.
Participate in high-level planning to help set both fundraising and programmatic goals.
Work collaboratively with development, communications, and program staff, along with state partners, to develop compelling materials and talking points to maximize fundraising results, while maintaining our commitment to organizational values of racial justice and equity.
Engage donors as advocates by recruiting them to join program calls and meetings and encouraging their own lobbying on priority environmental issues.
Ensure donor portfolio records are current with all necessary and pertinent information, and input contacts and actions into the database in a timely manner.
Travel up to 20% of the time for in-person work in respective regions, Washington, DC and elsewhere for staff site visits, conferences, and donor visits.

Qualifications:
Work Experience : Required – 4 years of experience in fundraising, including a successful track record of personally meeting with donors and closing five- and six-figure gifts. Significant experience directly qualifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts prospects, including developing solicitation strategy from identification through stewardship. Significant experience contacting prospects and holding 10 donor visits per month. A deep understanding of and experience talking with donors, peers, colleagues and other stakeholders about the critical importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. LCV is hiring a Director of Development Partnerships focused on major donor engagement in the New England and upstate New York regions, who will be a part of a fundraising team with ambitious revenue and program goals. The Development department’s fundraising program engages major donors for the LCV family of organizations including LCV, LCV Action Fund, LCV Victory Fund, and LCV Education Fund, and raises money for political candidates through our GiveGreen program.
The Director of Development Partnerships joins an extremely skilled, hard-working and growing development team, which is building the budget, power, and effectiveness of our family of organizations. This position is responsible for raising funds from individual and small foundation donors at four-, five-, and six-figure levels. Responsibilities include strategically identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. The Director of Development Partnerships will cultivate and solicit donors on their own and support the work of key senior staff and board members in their respective regions. Qualified candidates will have significant experience with methods and approaches to major gifts fundraising that encourages philanthropic involvement among communities of color.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a portfolio of up to 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors across the region, deepening relationships in person or virtually, over the phone, and in writing.
Work with the Director of Prospect Research and Portfolio Management to expand the Major Gifts portfolio of prospective donors to include more people of color; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting such donors.
Educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work that is central and core to all the work we do at LCV to confront the inextricably linked climate and democracy crises.
Hold at least 85 visits annually with donors and prospects in the region, renewing and upgrading gifts from current donors and soliciting gifts from new donors. Varying degrees of coordination and collaboration with state affiliates in the region is required. To that end, the Director must be oriented toward and motivated by nurturing and growing these relationships.
Develop and support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for LCV’s President and other key staff and board members.
Recruit donors and prospects to a variety of LCV fundraising and cultivation events, playing a key role in meeting the event and engagement objectives and key results for the Major Gifts team.
Contribute to organizational and department efforts to infuse racial justice and equity into all aspects of our work, including our fundraising as well as service on committees or working groups.
Write persuasive and personalized emails, letters and proposals to donors and prospects including in depth descriptions of our programs and role in environmental advocacy and politics, ensuring racial justice and equity is centered in our messaging.
Participate in high-level planning to help set both fundraising and programmatic goals.
Work collaboratively with development, communications, and program staff, along with state partners, to develop compelling materials and talking points to maximize fundraising results, while maintaining our commitment to organizational values of racial justice and equity.
Engage donors as advocates by recruiting them to join program calls and meetings and encouraging their own lobbying on priority environmental issues.
Ensure donor portfolio records are current with all necessary and pertinent information, and input contacts and actions into the database in a timely manner.
Travel up to 20% of the time for in-person work in respective regions, Washington, DC and elsewhere for staff site visits, conferences, and donor visits.

Qualifications:
Work Experience : Required – 4 years of experience in fundraising, including a successful track record of personally meeting with donors and closing five- and six-figure gifts. Significant experience directly qualifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts prospects, including developing solicitation strategy from identification through stewardship. Significant experience contacting prospects and holding 10 donor visits per month. A deep understanding of and experience talking with donors, peers, colleagues and other stakeholders about the critical importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. Preferred – Issue advocacy, organizing and/or political fundraising experience.
