Compensation Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $125,000 to $150,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and US location. The salary range provided reflects the base salary and in addition may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection. ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships will play an important role building external partnerships that position Making Waves to increase college and career opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented students in the Bay Area. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will be responsible for 1) leading the year-to-year strategy and execution of corporate partnerships, 2) managing a portfolio of institutional funders, 3) retaining, upgrading, and diversifying our base of corporate and foundation partners.

A competitive base salary range of $102,672-154,008 based on requisite work experience and performance during the interview process. We intend to hire a candidate who fully meets or exceeds the qualifications for this role, so we expect to offer a base salary in the top half of the salary band.
In line with our commitment to equity, fairness, and transparency, we do not negotiate salaries.
Signing bonus of 5% of base salary to be paid in two installments: 50% on the first eligible payroll and 50% within 6 months of the hire date.
51 total days off per fiscal year (a combination of company-paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time).

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships’ primary responsibilities include:
Corporate Partnerships Strategy and Execution
Craft and execute an overall annual and long-term vision for Corporate partnerships, including strategies and campaigns for retaining and upgrading current donors, securing new donor investments, and strengthening pathways for Making Waves Academy and college students to pursue postsecondary opportunities
Conduct regular analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform ongoing priorities and adjust course where needed in order to ultimately meet ambitious annual goals aligned with organization OKRs and strategic plan
Funder Cultivation and Stewardship
Source, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity corporations and foundations by developing and executing tailored cultivation and engagement plans
Develop and maintain fluency in Making Waves Education Foundation and Making Waves Academy programs and operations
Strategically leverage the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, and other senior leaders to steward and engage donors, including preparing these individuals for successful funder interactions
Compose tailored grant narratives, pitches, and employee engagement opportunities for high-stakes corporate and foundation donors, including reports, proposals, and donor correspondence
Collaborate with Making Waves Academy team to cultivate/steward current and prospective corporate and foundation funders
Maintain up-to-date donor records for relationships to ensure accuracy of account information, interaction history, and proposal/report submissions
Assess Bay Area corporate and foundation philanthropy landscape through research and prospecting databases, identifying and qualifying new and lapsed funders for outreach and cultivation efforts

Our Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships will play an important role building external partnerships that position Making Waves to increase college and career opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented students in the Bay Area. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships’ primary responsibilities include:
Corporate Partnerships Strategy and Execution
Craft and execute an overall annual and long-term vision for Corporate partnerships, including strategies and campaigns for retaining and upgrading current donors, securing new donor investments, and strengthening pathways for Making Waves Academy and college students to pursue postsecondary opportunities
Conduct regular analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to inform ongoing priorities and adjust course where needed in order to ultimately meet ambitious annual goals aligned with organization OKRs and strategic plan
Funder Cultivation and Stewardship
Source, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of high-capacity corporations and foundations by developing and executing tailored cultivation and engagement plans
Develop and maintain fluency in Making Waves Education Foundation and Making Waves Academy programs and operations
Strategically leverage the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, and other senior leaders to steward and engage donors, including preparing these individuals for successful funder interactions
Compose tailored grant narratives, pitches, and employee engagement opportunities for high-stakes corporate and foundation donors, including reports, proposals, and donor correspondence
Collaborate with Making Waves Academy team to cultivate/steward current and prospective corporate and foundation funders

Assess Bay Area corporate and foundation philanthropy landscape through research and prospecting databases, identifying and qualifying new and lapsed funders for outreach and cultivation efforts

FCC General Class License, SBE Certifications, Computer Networking certifications (Comp TIA+ or CCNA), and VMWare certification desired.

The Engineering department at TelevisaUnivision Washington DC is looking for a Director of Technology to join our diverse and energetic team!
The Director of Technology will supervise and execute the installation, maintain and repair TV studio/transmitter equipment to maintain signals in the market while complying with all FCC technical requirements. Responsibilities also include maintenance of telecommunications equipment, computers, networking systems and integrating platforms for online content. The Director of Technology will work closely with all departments including News, Production, Promotions and Sales.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Univision Engineering team supporting a leading local market News operation.
The candidate will have many opportunities to learn and work on systems such as Ross Overdrive production systems and switchers and SSL audio consoles, related terminal gear and graphics equipment.
YOUR DAY-DAY
Supports and maintains a top market news production operation.
Maintains station operation through preventive and corrective maintenance.
Supervision of engineering staff members and contractors as needed.
Establishes and follows routine maintenance procedures and schedules for all broadcast equipment.
Ensures station compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC, local, state, and federal, laws.
Performs necessary measurements of equipment performance.
Installs and performs maintenance on control consoles, routers, recording equipment, microphones, digital audio systems, transmitters, antennas, control systems, remote equipment, etc.
Provides maintenance and support of computer networks and related systems.
Basic HVAC troubleshooting and operational maintenance, including water cooling systems.
Works with the TV news and Operations department to maintain broadcast equipment as needed
Partner with local Finance Lead to develop and manage Engineering operational budgets and provide feedback for monthly and quarterly reporting.
Help Develop short and long-term plans to support the growth of the station’s capabilities in accordance with business needs, corporate plans, and changing market requirements.
Coordinate with corporate engineering on emerging technologies, corporate initiatives, and implementation guidance.
YOU HAVE
Requires a BSEE, BS-Information Technology/Computer Science or ASEE or equivalent relevant Broadcast Industry experience.
Technical training or experience with a substantial record of successful work in Broadcast or directly related allied industries.
FCC General Class License, SBE Certifications, Computer Networking certifications (Comp TIA+ or CCNA), and VMWare certification desired.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting high power TV transmitters and antenna systems along with in-depth knowledge of ATSC encoding, modulation, and signal analysis methodologies.
Experience supporting Live Television Production activities.
A combination of ten (10) years of Television/Radio Broadcast engineering, hands-on experience including supervisory roles in a unionized or non-unionized environment. Successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and excellent team leadership skills.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays on short notice as needed, and as part of on-call broadcast-critical escalation.
A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Good understanding of applicable FCC rules and regulations
Computer literacy in applicable software packages (Microsoft OS and Office Suite)
Working knowledge of computer networking technology.
Ability to troubleshoot broadcast equipment to the component level.
Familiarity with Ross, SSL, VizRT and Weather Company software/hardware products a plus.
Must be a team player willing to work with and accomplish repairs and assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of generators and UPS systems.
Ability to read and interpret design documentation, including elevations, connection drawings and schematics.
Ability to maintain documentation to keep pace with changes.
Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
