What you will do:

The Office of Human Resources is a business partner that provides the organization with direction, consultation, support, and services in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the agency.  HR staff are committed to supporting OHA's strategic goal of eliminating health inequities by 2030 and does so by ensuring that all aspects of the employee life cycle - recruitment, selection, retention, learning & development, and labor management - are antiracist and inclusive in their spirit, word, and practice

The Recruitment and Retention Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day oversite of recruitment program. Provides leadership and direction to recruitment staff through planning, implementing, and evaluating holistic approaches to service delivery.  Serve as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team. This is a full time, permanent, management service supervisory position and is not represented by a union. This position is located in Salem Oregon. Hybrid schedule is available as an option.

What we are looking for

  • Six years of experience in supervision, technical or professional level work in human resources management programs; two years of this experience must have included supervision and management of a program, section or unit which included: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long-short range goals and plans, and c) program evaluation and d) budget preparation.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent course work in a field related to management such Business or Public Administration or related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of human resource laws, rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of current management theory, human resource theories and best practices
  • Ability to work and lead effectively in a cross-cultural or multi-cultural organization ensuring equity and inclusion initiatives are implemented and measured across the organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization, and carry responsibilities independently with an awareness of human resources services issues and sensitivities
  • Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment and/or lived experience that will demonstrate your ability to do this job
