We are currently seeking a First Aid and CPR Instructor in Northern VA/Washington D.C and surrounding areas (75-mile radius) This is a Full-Time position working a variable schedule. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): Responsible to deliver corporate classes to community groups at corporate facilities and/or at community or corporate sites. Responsible to provide high quality instruction per program guidelines, provide the necessary information/reports in a timely manner and properly maintain equipment in their possession. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We help increase the preparedness of our communities by offering courses in First Aid, CPR/AED, Babysitter’s Training, Lifeguard Training, Certified Nurse Aid Training, and other certification courses. American Red Cross Training Services instructors are an elite group of professionals who teach valuable lifesaving skills to 12 million people each year in businesses, schools, and communities. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities): Instruction: Teaches Red Cross Training Services instructors within their current certifications to businesses and to the community. Must arrive to teaching site a minimum 30 minutes before class is to begin. Supply Chain/Logistics : Responsible for maintaining, managing, and storing all assigned equipment, including storage at assigned work location and transporting equipment in personal vehicle. Responsible for re-ordering all necessary equipment at least once per month and maintaining and managing an active inventory of supplies at all times. Instructors are responsible for transporting, loading/unloading, carrying and/or lifting equipment as necessary at assigned teaching locations. At conclusion of class, is responsible for the cleaning equipment according to established decontamination guidelines and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate logistics staff member. Quality Assurance: Responsible for applying quality assurance and control programs. Integrates quality improvement activities and measures in overall service provision. Ensures that the proper safety measures are in place to protect customers and staff who participate in the training activities. Resource Management: Responsible for efficient and effective use of resources. Adheres to the financial and registration policy regarding unregistered students in Community classes. Communications/Reporting: Engages in regular communications with Training Specialist regarding course updates and latest changes to products/services. Actively submits unavailability requests, as necessary, in Skedulo when not available to be assigned to classes. Submits training activity and other course related records according to standard timelines. Where applicable, training and course-related records must be submitted electronically using the American Red Cross web-based learning center. The instructor is required to use the corporate email account (@Redcross.org) issued to him/her upon hire, for all American Red Cross related correspondence. Standard Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Pay Information: The salary for this position is $20.00 an hour Note: that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. As the Recruitment and Admissions Specialist, you are supporting applicants through the admission process ensuring program requirements are completed and that there is a smooth transition from application to enrollment and program registration. Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists in the coordination and processes of the acceptance of applications for admissions and updates appropriately in student information system.
Assists with enrollment to assigned specific departments.
Provides accurate information to prospective and current students, parents, and the general public on Hawkeye Community College’s programs, degrees, application processes, financial aid information, and student referrals.
Reviews students’ transcripts and calculates GPA to admit students to programs appropriately.
Communicates with students and team daily regarding admissions processes and their admission status.
Continuous monitoring of student records to admit to programs as they progress through their pre-program coursework, tracking students through their pre-program coursework.
Verifies and provides follow-up to students regarding their application status, admissions inquiries and requirements via on-site visits, phone, text and email.
Generates, maintains, updates and analyzes various reports.
Processes admittance letters for newly admitted students.
Utilizes technology to maintain student records, reports, uploading of prospect leads, and enters data in order to complete various tasks, job duties and reporting.
Trains and assigns tasks to work study students.
May assist with the coordination of group visits and on campus events through the Admissions office.
Will be cross-trained in other Recruitment Admissions Specialist’s duties and serves as a back up in their absence.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree.
One (1) year related work experience such as customer service, sales, public speaking, public relations, marketing, communications, social sciences, business, or education or a combination of related education and work experience to total three (3) years.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, in presentations and one-on-one with students and parents.
Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed.
Must possess a current driver’s license valid in the State of Iowa and a driving record insurable by the College’s insurer.
Demonstrated ability to travel to and from appointments.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Demonstrated ability to perform critical thinking, troubleshoot tasks, and analyze data with a high attention to detail.

ABOUT CASA DE LOS AMIGOS: This program has 2 locations and 20 beds, serving clients ages 12-17, who have been placed in the program by the Office of Refugee Resettlement Department of Unaccompanied Children's Services (ORR / DUCS). All the clients are unaccompanied minors, primarily from Central America, who have recently migrated to the United States. The goal of the program is safe and timely reunification with family in the U.S.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Case Management Supervisor, the Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for the day-to-day case management and family reunification services for youth placed in the Casa Program under the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and in accordance with all ORR policies and procedures. Duties include all intake and exit paperwork, case planning, crisis intervention, transportation, providing or obtaining translation services, ensuring clients meet all immigration related court appointments and requirements, and assisting in the safe and timely release of each client. This position requires shift responsibilities, a high degree of flexibility in responding to emergent needs of young people in crisis, and good organizational and documentation skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry a small case load of up to 6 active clients (may be more during staffing shortages).
Provide assistance to Case Management Supervisor, Case Manager, and two mental health therapists (filing and other administrative tasks).
Provide assistance to medical coordinator for transportation to appointments and medical data-entry.
Track client entries and exits, and other client information in Excel and other applicable case management databases.
Review and close case files. Ensure quality in files and organization in file room. Coordinate and follow-up with team members for any missing documentation.
Ensure current case files have all required case management documentation and assist in filing of paperwork.
Remain up to date on ORR policy and procedures and implement case management changes within provided timeframe and as needed.
Assess assigned client’s need for services and develop and document service plans that best meet the client request while respecting both ORR and DHS regulations and as clinically appropriate.
Complete, maintain, and submit all documentation in a timely manner, including client intake and exit paperwork; assessments and service plans; child trafficking screenings and home study referrals; case notes; family reunification packet and sponsor background checks; changes of address.
Maintain timely and accurate data entry in the UC Portal and YouthCare databases.
Educate sponsors and clients on immigrant rights and restrictions, child welfare rights, ORR sponsor care agreement and ORR/DHS requirements and expectations post-release.
Collaborate with community partners such as KIND and consulates to ensure services are provided in a timely manner.
Review caseload weekly with Assistant Director, 3rd Party GDIT, Federal Field Specialist and Mental Health Therapist. Attend and participate in quarterly Stakeholder’s meetings.
Escort clients of 12 and 13 years old to their reunification destinations as needed. Potential to stay overnight at agency expense if necessary due to flight schedules.
Participate in regular staff training on updated ORR policies and procedures, program requirements, immigrant and refugee issues, as needed. Attend applicable staff meetings.
Participate in file audits of all ORR young people in care quarterly to ensure proper documentation is being completed.
Must be flexible and be able to cover the floor as needed. These duties include, but are not limited to, providing direct supervision of youth and associated tasks such as providing emotional support, cooking meals, facilitating transportation, participating in chores, and completing required documentation/data entry.
Attend a minimum of 40 hours of in-service or equivalent trainings per year; including all YouthCare and ORR required trainings.

ABOUT CASA DE LOS AMIGOS: This program has 2 locations and 20 beds, serving clients ages 12-17, who have been placed in the program by the Office of Refugee Resettlement Department of Unaccompanied Children's Services (ORR / DUCS). All the clients are unaccompanied minors, primarily from Central America, who have recently migrated to the United States. The goal of the program is safe and timely reunification with family in the U.S.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Case Management Supervisor, the Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for the day-to-day case management and family reunification services for youth placed in the Casa Program under the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and in accordance with all ORR policies and procedures. Duties include all intake and exit paperwork, case planning, crisis intervention, transportation, providing or obtaining translation services, ensuring clients meet all immigration related court appointments and requirements, and assisting in the safe and timely release of each client. This position requires shift responsibilities, a high degree of flexibility in responding to emergent needs of young people in crisis, and good organizational and documentation skills.
