ABOUT THIS ROLE
In this dynamic role, the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) will be not only responsible for achieving revenue targets but will also take a holistic approach to the growth of the organization, going beyond traditional fundraising. This person will hold the vision and execution for the powerful role philanthropy can play at Water For People and in the broader water and sanitation sector.

With a primary focus on delivering the growth plan aligned with our Destination 2030 vision which includes growing revenue to $75M annually, increasing awareness of the urgency of the global water crisis and Water For People’s role, and leveraging organizational priorities to drive impact, the CGO will lead in five priority growth areas: More dollars, more donors, more engagement, more awareness, and more intentionality. The CGO will be responsible for implementing and adapting Water For People’s global growth strategy.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Form strong partnerships with Co-CEOs, Chief Finance and Administration Officer (CFAO), Chief Impact Officer (CIO), Senior Director of Finance (SDF), and Regional Directors to develop multi-year organizational fundraising priorities, revenue targets and projections, effective engagement plans for high-level current and potential supporters and the media, and accurate and timely updates to the Board.
Work with the Donor Impact team and the Global Leadership Team (GLT) to execute the current growth plan aligned with the strategic plan tied with Destination 2030 and with the One For All Alliance; key emphasis will be on growing the number of new prospects/donors and strengthening the portfolio in the long-term into a greater number of key donors/funders.
Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization's revenue-generating activities and external relations including brand and communications.
Lead analysis of fundraising strategies and approaches to align with current market trends while staying flexible and innovative.

Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary for this position is $130,000 annual salary, and is based upon a wage analysis across the organization. The starting salary for this position is $130,000 annual salary, and is based upon a wage analysis across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE - Overall responsibility for conservation results, philanthropy activities and goals of the Louisiana Chapter, and for integration of regional and global priorities. - Manages the development and execution of the chapter’s strategic conservation plan, three‐year budget and financial plans, and annual work programs, all delivered on time and within budget. - Demonstrates a strong understanding of on‐the‐ground land management conservation. - Incorporates organizational values and competencies as foundational elements in all aspects of work. - Ensures recruitment, management and development of high quality and effective staff. - Provides leadership in public policy efforts within the chapter and the region. - Ensures that programmatic commitments, financial standards, and legal requirements are met. - Presents and represents the chapter’s and TNC’s vision in a compelling and engaging manner to internal and external audiences as lead spokesperson. - Delivers effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to employee groups, managers at all levels, board members and outside organizations. - Demonstrates a willingness and ability to travel routinely throughout the geography and globally as required. - Works flexibly, sometimes beyond the normal workday, including weekends, as necessary, during deadline periods. - Participates in the Division Leadership Team, North America Senior Leaders Team, and collaborates on innovative, cross‐boundary projects. - Directs, prepares, presents and/or participates in negotiations of project proposals with governmental, bilateral and/or multilateral agencies. - Works well under pressure. - Able to travel up to 50%, majority is in‐state.

In collaboration with the Equity and Justice team, the Manager of Equity and Justice Learning will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Equity and Justice Strategic Plan, furthering activities that drive culture change, and designing and delivering learning modules.
Principal Duties (major areas of responsibility):
Participates as a permanent member of NWF’s Equity and Justice Leadership Team to expand, advance, and embed equity and justice throughout the organization.
Works with senior managers and volunteer leaders to set a pace for cultural change that can be meaningfully supported. Partners with leaders to obtain buy-in and support their teams in actively advancing equity priorities.
Education and Learning: Collaborates with Director of Learning to assess learning needs related to equity and to design and deliver trainings to build staff knowledge, skills, and mindsets around equity and justice including anti-oppression, anti-racism, social justice, and working across difference. Leads affiliate learning strategy.
Metrics and Data: Identifies new and existing ways to measure and analyze cultural and behavioral changes in NWF. Manages systems and processes for collecting data related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Works with Strategic Business Operations Department to track specific metrics to ensure advancement of work; lead production of annual equity report.
Development and Philanthropy: Works with Equity and Justice team and Philanthropy team to identify funders and draft proposals and reports.
Maintains strong collaboration between Equity and Justice and Environmental Justice Program to create a vision for and connect to equity and environmental justice goals.
