What is an On-Call Membership Specialist?
The on-call Membership Support Specialist supports the recruitment and retention of Girl Scout volunteers and members through program delivery and logistic support of recruitment events.
They are responsible for attending community-based events where they will promote Girl Scouts, answer questions about the program, and facilitate basic activities. This position will collect contact information for prospective members and volunteers and connect them with the local Program and Membership Experience team.

Develop, cultivate, and support relationships with service unit and troop volunteers in assigned area to support delivery of Girl Scout programming.
Provide ongoing support, supervision, and direction to administrative volunteers in assigned geographic areas by interpreting Girl Scouts of the USA and council policies, standards, and procedures and by directing volunteers to additional support services.
Identify the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Serve as the main point of contact for geographic area volunteers relaying pertinent information to council staff and to guide volunteers to additional support services and resources.
Work collaboratively with all Council departments to ensure council program and initiatives are successfully marketed to youth and adult membership.
Provide professional, superior customer service to all internal and external customers, members, volunteers, staff and other community contacts in person, electronically and by phone.
Volunteer & Member Recruitment
Through analysis of community needs, demographic data and membership statistics, develop, design and conduct recruitment and retention plan for youth and volunteer membership growth in designated geographic areas.
Establish the appropriate volunteer support team to accomplish key priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers in assigned geographic areas.
Membership Conversion
Guide potential adult and youth members on the Salesforce pipeline through conversion by phone calls, emails, etc.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
Coordinate the placement of registered Girl Scouts into appropriate troops.
Coordinate the placement of registered adults into appropriate volunteer roles.
Ensure that diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the daily work of the position.
Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with other members of the regional and volunteer support, recruitment, and placement specialist teams statewide to ensure the effective implementation of local and statewide renewal and member engagement strategies.
Collaborate with the program team to drive participation in staff-led program opportunities.
Collaborate with the customer care and data teams to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and accuracy of membership data.
Collaborate with Product Program team to drive participation in and deliver on a positive member experience within the product programs.
Support the efforts and commitments of Girl Scouts of Colorado in the area of pluralism and diversity throughout the organization and within each community served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and networking skills required.
Skills in conflict resolution and mediation.
Knowledge of volunteer management strategies preferred.

What is an On-Call Membership Specialist?
The on-call Membership Support Specialist supports the recruitment and retention of Girl Scout volunteers and members through program delivery and logistic support of recruitment events.
They are responsible for attending community-based events where they will promote Girl Scouts, answer questions about the program, and facilitate basic activities. This position will collect contact information for prospective members and volunteers and connect them with the local Program and Membership Experience team.
The on-call Membership Support Specialist will have access to a monthly listing of work opportunities including but not limited to recruitment events, program events, and general office and administrative work.
The on-call Membership Support Specialist will work no more than 10 hours per month.
**It is required that the Membership Specialist resides within (or in close proximity to) the Western Slope Region of Colorado, USA. Volunteer & Member Retention

Identify the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.

What is an On-Call Membership Specialist?
The on-call Membership Support Specialist supports the recruitment and retention of Girl Scout volunteers and members through program delivery and logistic support of recruitment events.
They are responsible for attending community-based events where they will promote Girl Scouts, answer questions about the program, and facilitate basic activities. This position will collect contact information for prospective members and volunteers and connect them with the local Program and Membership Experience team.
The on-call Membership Support Specialist will have access to a monthly listing of work opportunities including but not limited to recruitment events, program events, and general office and administrative work.
The on-call Membership Support Specialist will work no more than 10 hours per month.
**It is required that the Membership Specialist resides within (or in close proximity to) the Western Slope Region of Colorado, USA. Applicants may reside in the following counties: Mesa, Garfield, Pitkin, Eagle, Summit, Chaffee, Lake, Delta, Montrose, Gunnison, Hinsdale, San Juan, Montezuma, or La Plata.
Volunteer & Member Retention
Develop, cultivate, and support relationships with service unit and troop volunteers in assigned area to support delivery of Girl Scout programming.
Provide ongoing support, supervision, and direction to administrative volunteers in assigned geographic areas by interpreting Girl Scouts of the USA and council policies, standards, and procedures and by directing volunteers to additional support services.
Identify the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Serve as the main point of contact for geographic area volunteers relaying pertinent information to council staff and to guide volunteers to additional support services and resources.
Work collaboratively with all Council departments to ensure council program and initiatives are successfully marketed to youth and adult membership.
Provide professional, superior customer service to all internal and external customers, members, volunteers, staff and other community contacts in person, electronically and by phone.
Volunteer & Member Recruitment
Through analysis of community needs, demographic data and membership statistics, develop, design and conduct recruitment and retention plan for youth and volunteer membership growth in designated geographic areas.
Establish the appropriate volunteer support team to accomplish key priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers in assigned geographic areas.
Membership Conversion
Guide potential adult and youth members on the Salesforce pipeline through conversion by phone calls, emails, etc.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
Coordinate the placement of registered Girl Scouts into appropriate troops.
Coordinate the placement of registered adults into appropriate volunteer roles.
Ensure that diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the daily work of the position.
Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with other members of the regional and volunteer support, recruitment, and placement specialist teams statewide to ensure the effective implementation of local and statewide renewal and member engagement strategies.
Collaborate with the program team to drive participation in staff-led program opportunities.
Collaborate with the customer care and data teams to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and accuracy of membership data.
Collaborate with Product Program team to drive participation in and deliver on a positive member experience within the product programs.
Support the efforts and commitments of Girl Scouts of Colorado in the area of pluralism and diversity throughout the organization and within each community served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and networking skills required.
Skills in conflict resolution and mediation.
Knowledge of volunteer management strategies preferred.

Bilingual skills desired but not required.
Must pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.

Service Agents follow scripting and have excellent attention to detail. Use information from multiple computer systems simultaneously to target appropriate blood drives for donor, update donor records as needed and to record outcomes of calls. Schedule appointments while providing positive service experience to maximize donor show rates. Follow a process and appropriate scripting for conducting a call with a donor, to ensure a consistent donor experience. Maintain daily production standard, including phone calls and appointments per hour, to meet established collection goals. Develop a working knowledge of donor criteria to inform donors of eligibility and reduce deferral rates. Maintain accurate records of donors/groups contacted and appointments scheduled to avoid errors, poor customer relations and to ensure sufficient donor availability. Top candidates for this role will have recent significant experience as a lead/senior developer, retaining the ability to deliver high-quality, production code. In addition, she or he will leverage that experience to lead collaborative planning sessions, drive architecture decisions to conclusion and recommend solutions to complex problems. The Multi Solution Web Architect will be doing application design and development for our CMS and eCommerce system. Experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud systems, such as AEM, Target and Analytics is highly desired. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB: The American Red Cross seeks a creative and energetic Multi Solution Web Architect to join our Fundraising & Marketing Technology Group (FMTG) in supporting applications that help to deliver ARC’s mission to “prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.” We accomplish this primarily through public-facing applications at RedCross.org and Redcrossblood.org, an internal gift management platform, as well as several other business systems tied into a corporate intranet. Top candidates for this role will have recent significant experience as a lead/senior developer, retaining the ability to deliver high-quality, production code. In addition, she or he will leverage that experience to lead collaborative planning sessions, drive architecture decisions to conclusion and recommend solutions to complex problems. The Multi Solution Web Architect will be doing application design and development for our CMS and eCommerce system. Experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud systems, such as AEM, Target and Analytics is highly desired. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home with a preference work an East Coast schedule to support team and clients. (Core Working Hours 9:00am-5:00pm Eastern) WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): • Lead application design for all feature delivery on Redcross.org, Redcrossblood.org, and related sub-systems to meet high demand and episodic volatility in end-user traffic. • Build relationships with internal customers and partners to understand their needs, priorities, roadmap, and definition of success. • Drive the technical evaluation of technologies and vendor solutions including industry trends and best practices. • Develop and communicate application design documentation intended for both business and technical audiences. • Design user flows, platform architecture, software patterns, and data models to support current and long-term business needs. • Design and develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, reference architectures, and implementations as needed to support the technical planning of platform and business projects. • Drive integration strategy for corporate systems and applications. • Provide technical oversight of platform improvements and business projects. • Partner with other technical staff, platform leadership, business partners, as well as functional leads in areas such as Security, Privacy, IT Compliance, Business Intelligence, and Data Governance to ensure that FMTG’s platform capabilities are meeting the needs and standards of diverse stakeholders. • Establish applications standards and best practices within FMTG. • Work with operations engineers to troubleshoot and identify resolutions for user-reported issues. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications): • 10+ years experience developing web applications utilizing modern software patterns and standards, with 5+ years in the role of lead/senior developer. • 5+ years experience in application design and development of a CMS or eCommerce system. Preference is given to candidates who have worked with Adobe Experience Cloud systems, such as AEM, Target and Analytics. • 5+ years developing solutions based on Java technology • Significant experience integrating SAAS solutions, managing vendors and integrating with internal and third-party systems. • Exceptional communications skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to business users. • Significant experience collaborating with business stakeholders in an agile environment. • Ability to define and evolve an application to align with stakeholder priorities and timeline. • Ability to collaborate within your own department as well as across the organization. • Experience mentoring and coaching technical team members in a matrix organization. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent*. WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (preferred qualifications): • Certifications in Adobe or AWS technology. • Experience in a consulting role engaging clients and technical resources on application design and development choices. • Experience with content management and/or eCommerce for a national US brand. * Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PAY INFORMATION: The starting annual salary range for this position is $150K - $175K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
