Program Specialist Barn & Farm Animals General Duties: The Barn Program Specialist is responsible for the care and maintenance of barn animals and areas, and implementation of the farm program at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. General Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily feeding & care of barn animals.

Assist Barn Specialist with daily care of various barn animals need as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all farm/barn/arena/pasture areas.
Assist in the care & management of program, horse, and barn equipment, including storage, maintenance, cleanliness, and usage in coordination with fellow team members.
Provide and/or support emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support health and wellness practices.
Provide assistance/coverage as necessary to all additional operational and program staff.
Support the work of the cabin, health, site, kitchen, and housekeeping staff as needed.
Program Responsibilities
Instruct & supervise western horse riding (including but not limited to trail rides around property, maneuvers, and activities in arenas) to 12-15 riders at a time. Ensuring safety and adaptations to meet the needs of all riders.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
While on horse trails or when assigned as needed, act 'in loco parentis' and guide a group of campers during overnight camp sessions.
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Train & orient of proper use of specialized areas, materials, and delivery of program.
Verify staff competence before assigning them to participate in horse riding or a supervisory role. Monitor their performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Work on the development, review, and assist in the creation of daily, weekly, and activity schedules, in cooperation with other staff, based on camp program, camper planning, and camp goals.
Provide & participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & program delivery are positive and appropriate.

Program Specialist Barn & Farm Animals General Duties: The Barn Program Specialist is responsible for the care and maintenance of barn animals and areas, and implementation of the farm program at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily feeding & care of barn animals.
With the support of supervisors, provide emergency care to barn animals.
Assist the Equine staff with care & management of horse program as needed/assigned.
Support the greenhouse/garden specialist as needed/assigned.
Provide and/or support emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support health and wellness practices.
Provide assistance/coverage as necessary to all additional operational and program staff.

Program Specialist Barn & Farm Animals General Duties: The Barn Program Specialist is responsible for the care and maintenance of barn animals and areas, and implementation of the farm program at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the property, hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily feeding & care of barn animals.
With the support of supervisors, provide emergency care to barn animals.
Assist the Equine staff with care & management of horse program as needed/assigned.
Support the greenhouse/garden specialist as needed/assigned.
Provide and/or support emergency procedures during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide and/or support health and wellness practices.
Provide assistance/coverage as necessary to all additional operational and program staff.
Support the work of the cabin, health, site, kitchen, and housekeeping staff as needed.
Program Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and implement programs for a group of campers during overnight camp sessions, troop day camp sessions, and family camp sessions in one or more assigned specialty program areas.
Responsible for the care, cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory of assigned program area and support the entire Ranch team maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all Ranch areas.
Camper Leadership & Supervision
Support & counsel campers in daily living, camp activities, and developing peer relationships.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
Train & orient of proper use of specialized areas, materials, and delivery of program.
Verify staff competence before assigning them supervisory role. Monitor their performance throughout the season.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Work on the development, review, and assist in the creation of daily, weekly, and activity schedules, in cooperation with other staff, based on camp program, camper planning, and camp goals.
Provide & participate in camper and staff feedback forms as necessary for the overall camp's strategic planning.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Carry out ongoing observations to assure that goals and expectations of leadership & program delivery are positive and appropriate.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.

Maintenance Specialist General Duties: The Maintenance Specialist Assists in the care and maintenance of assigned property. Works with entire camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Responsibilities
Assists with property security practices & procedures.
Assists in the care for and maintenance of camp facilities, grounds including roads & fences, property & program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
To help reduce the level of risk, ensures that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and helps prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction projects.
Cross Functional Work
Supports care of livestock, providing feeding, and daily chores.
Assists with the delivery of equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.

Maintenance Specialist General Duties: The Maintenance Specialist Assists in the care and maintenance of assigned property. Works with entire camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order at Tomahawk Ranch, a Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) camp property. Additionally, this role supports the hospitality, operational, program, health, & cabin leadership team as needed as part of the Tomahawk Ranch team. A primary function of this, and every other job at the Tomahawk Ranch, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Responsibilities
Assists with property security practices & procedures.
Assists in the care for and maintenance of camp facilities, grounds including roads & fences, property & program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
To help reduce the level of risk, ensures that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and helps prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction projects.
Cross Functional Work
Supports care of livestock, providing feeding, and daily chores.
Assists with the delivery of equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.
Deliver emergency support during on-site incidents.
Provide and support safe and healthy practices.
In coordination with the camp team, facilitate camper program delivery, check-in & check-out procedures, orientation, and other operational logistics.
Assist with the management of site and program equipment, including storage, care, inventory, and maintenance.
Provide additional support as necessary to facility staff, camp team, kitchen, and housekeeping staff members.
Administration
Manage administrative responsibilities in a timely, independent, and detail-oriented manner.
Work on the development of daily and weekly schedules, under the direction of supervisors and in cooperation with all staff.
Coordinate and communicate schedules to campers & staff as necessary.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training for planning purposes, communication resolutions, and carrying out assignments.
Provide & participate in staff feedback forms as necessary for the camp's overall strategic planning.
Interact with digital systems including WorkBright, Slack, Instagram, & Facebook.
Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and campers.
Follow policies, procedures, and standards set by the American Camping Association, Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints, Colorado Department of Health and Human Services, and other certifying industry organizations.

Installs and repairs all specialty area systems and equipment within County buildings to include Emergency Generators, Automated Lighting Control Systems, UPS Systems including battery replacement, maintenance and testing of various systems, PLC controlled systems, Automated Gate systems, Fire Alarm System knowledge, Stormwater Pump System, general electrical installation and lighting maintenance.
Maintain accurate records and work reports on all work performed utilizing electronic devices. (Cell phone, computer terminal).
Obtains competitive price quotes, locates vendors, and purchases supplies necessary to maintain inventory and complete assigned projects.
Designs and/or modifies relevant components of remodel projects within County buildings.
Works as a part of a team in the design and implementation of remodel projects; may install wiring and devices to assist system upgrades, may necessitate performing support work within another specialty area.
Provides guidance and training to Workers and other staff within the assigned specialty area.
Reads, understands, and utilizes complicated blueprints, schematics and plans as well as software systems used in daily documentation.
Coordinates with architects, engineers and outside contractors to complete assigned projects.
Completion of a specialty specific apprenticeship program leading to the equivalent of a Journey card or license in the assigned specialty area; and,
Two years of general experience in building maintenance, construction, and repair.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license (required to perform duties).
Ability to pass Sheriff's background clearance prior to employment as required for work performed in the Jail facility.
Must be willing to respond to after hours emergent calls as needed to maintain operation of 24/7 departments and/or to protect asset damage to County buildings/facilities.
Must comply with all directives mandated by County Administration relative to the Covid 19 pandemic and public health compliance.
