Job Description

Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the part-time position of Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor – Adjunct on the Melbourne Campus in Melbourne, Florida. 

 

The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

 

  • Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Physical Therapy Assisting or Physical Therapy.
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant or a Physical Therapist.
  • Possess a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist license through the Florida Department of Health.
  • PT/PTAs working with a predominantly neurological patient population, preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience, including teaching as a Clinical Instructor, preferred.
  • Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.
  • This position will require successful fingerprinting and substance screening. The candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fees (currently $37.25/$59.20).  These fees ($37.25/$59.20) are non-refundable.

*High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment.  All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
