Move This World seeks a full-time Controller/VP of Finance to lead financial operations and strategic finance in a quickly growing startup in the US K-12 edtech space. About Move This World: Move This World is the leading provider of social-emotional learning (SEL) multimedia resources for PreK-12 students, educators, and families. Each piece of educational content is delivered through short interactive lessons and is grounded in the goal of empowering students to navigate the rapidly-changing realities of their world – both in the classroom and throughout their lives. Designed for implementation that is both impactful and simple, the MTW platform allows educators and families to incorporate SEL into their students’ schedules every day, without planning or prep. About the Role: As Move This Worl d’ s Controller/VP of Finance  y ou will be a key leader and hands-on operator, overseeing all financial operations of the company. This includes overseeing billing and invoicing, managing budget, forecasting, account reconciliation, accounting, capital raising support (debt and equity), and profit and loss reporting. You will be a vocal champion of Move This World’s financial health, guiding smart strategic growth decisions and identifying opportunities to improve the company’s profitability.  About You: You are a creative, innovative and detail-oriented problem-solver. You prioritize your own wellbeing and encourage those around you to do the same.  Responsibilities: Manage the org-wide budget and work with CEO and VP of Partnerships on establishing department budgets Manage company cash flows and plan for cash spends on different projects Oversee billing and invoicing process Develop and manage key financial models Conduct monthly financial assessments and generate reports to be submitted to Founder & CEO Lead accounting processes, including any audits, and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for all stakeholders including board, investors, and internal stakeholders Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives Strategically assess capital needs and support in capital raising (debt and equity) Other responsibilities as assigned by the Founder and CEO Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred) 7+ years’ financial management experience at quickly growing small-mid sized startups Excellent financial and accounting acumen Proven experience in financial forecasting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to synthesize information quickly, distill important takeaways, and tell a compelling story Be a detail and results oriented individual who is self-motivated, flexible, and who thrives working in a dynamic, constantly changing environment Benefits: Competitive salary Comprehensive health, vision, dental and life insurance Three weeks paid vacation + 10 company holidays (we’re also flexible & encourage you to take the time you need in order to thrive) Opportunities to regularly practice and prioritize our own wellbeing as a team Professional development, growth and learning Colleagues who laugh, have fun, challenge and inspire one another

At Move This World, we’re looking for a full-time Program Manager to strengthen educators’ wellbeing and build meaningful relationships with our school partners. There is opportunity for this role to be fully remote or based out of our Brooklyn, NY office. About Move This World: Move This World cultivates students’ social and emotional learning (SEL) skills that empower them to navigate the complex and rapidly-changing realities of our world. Move This World is a social emotional learning program which enables students to establish and maintain healthy relationships with peers, staff and themselves. The curriculum is delivered through an extensive online library of PreK-12 videos and resources rooted in creative expression that help students, teachers and staff develop a common language to improve communication and build trust. Move This World has impacted the lives of over 1 million students across the country. About the Role: As a member of Move This World’s Program team you’ll be responsible for ensuring our partners’ happiness and success with Move This World products and services. You will oversee the day-to-day success of a portfolio of Move This World clients, which include school leaders and teachers at public, charter and independent schools across the country. You will be responsible for building, maintaining and growing relationships with our school leaders and teachers, acting as the expert of Move This World’s platform and empowering teachers to use Move This World’s tools to its fullest potential. Responsibilities: Facilitate the on-boarding and implementation of Move This World’s social emotional learning program. Evaluate individual school needs and develop implementation plans that will ensure Move This World’s success alongside other social emotional learning or behavior management initiatives.  Provide ongoing support to teachers and school leaders via monthly check-in calls and email communication. Respond to questions/requests and share Move This World updates. Monitor teacher engagement and take necessary action to increase engagement.  Advocate and communicate the needs of our school leaders and teachers to the rest of the organization. Work within Move This World to resolve technical issues and challenges.  Gather feedback on Move This World’s program from teachers and school leaders in order to identify opportunities to improve client experience and Move This World’s products. Assist in the ongoing development of professional development materials and additional resources for school leaders and teachers. Work closely with the marketing team to assist in the creation of user stories, case studies, and Move This World’s brand ambassador program. Identify new and creative ways to guarantee program success and manage other projects that will improve school leaders’ and teachers’ experiences with Move This World. Maintain an understanding of social emotional learning, emotional wellbeing, and education technology industries. Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Program Operations. Qualifications: Experience with consultative, multi-client account management is preferred. Experience working in a school setting is preferred. MA or higher credential in the mental health or education sector is preferred. Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate Move This World’s vision and mission to school leaders and teachers. A highly creative individual who possesses self-confidence, flexibility, and positive energy, and who thrives working in a dynamic environment. Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with creative ability to overcome challenges and problem solve. Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability. Ability to travel occasionally.
