POSITION SUMMARY This position entails working in a production setting, being responsible for conducting inline AQL and audits working with Production supervisors/Leads in communicating Quality results. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour Summary: To exercise overall supervision of all production employees on the 2nd shift. The Manufacturing Supervisor works as key part of a team to oversee all employees on the shift and to ensure a well-managed, high-performing and safe environment. This role has a significant impact on OEE, daily factory and production operations, staff management and troubleshooting — and is a highly visible position within the company, critical to our growth as a world-class supplier and value-added partner to customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that employees understand expectations about their attendance, performance, and adherence to work instructions, working safely, and avoiding injury. Assist employees who are not meeting standards to improve to 100% of expectations. Monitor and improve press OEE (overall equipment effectiveness). Ensure the effective use of all PPE (personal protective equipment). Communicate with supervisor from the previous shift and review production schedule, changeover schedule, and issues from the previous shift. Ensure all labor and production data is reported and entered correctly into the computer/ERP system. Ensure all employees are performing duties correctly and safely. Administer performance reviews and coach all operators to improve individual performance -- includes evaluations of new hire employees as they are being trained. Participate in scrap-review process. Propose and implement improvements that will reduce product cost, increase output, increase machine up time, decrease expense, and provide a better and safer work environment. Oversee and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
