Position Available: Head of Reader and Viewer Services (Professi onal Librarian I)
The Head of Reader and Viewer Services provides leadersh ip, supervision, and management for the daily operations of the Harry Ransom Center's Read ing and Viewing Room. The Head cultivates an inclusive and welcom ing atmosphere to researchers across disciplines and with various research comp etencies by training and mentoring currently a team made up of five FTE and seven students, as well as facilitating and developing policies and pr ocedures that ensure the unit meets its strategic goals. The Library Division embraces a highly collab orative environment and the Head reports to the Associate Director for the Library Division and works cl osely with other units and teams regarding reference, instruction an d outreach, safety and security, cataloging, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
