The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of public mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services delivered to the residents of Cuyahoga County. Under Ohio law, the ADAMHS Board is one of 50 Boards coordinating the public mental health and addiction treatment and recovery system in Ohio.
The Board is a quasi-independent part of county government, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board contracts with provider agencies to deliver services that assist clients on the road to recovery.

The Adult and Children Behavioral Health unit consists of the monitoring and planning of public behavioral health adult and children’s programs in Cuyahoga County. Under the supervision of the Director of Adult Behavioral Health Programs, performs administrative and secretarial support duties to the Adult, and Children Program, Planning and System Development staff which may include a variety of Medical, Nursing, and Social Service’s professionals. Duties will include administrative office management duties or functions/tasks, operation of various office equipment, develop and maintain various record keeping databases, and use of computer programs to process correspondence and reports of the ADAMHS Board. Assists the Directors and departmental staff in carrying out day-to-day tasks. Maintains information by applicable rules and procedures regarding confidentiality.
High School Diploma or equivalent with proficiency in computer skills, typing and use of office machines (faxes, copiers, printers, etc.).
Two years experience in office and administrative support or a degree or certification in office management
Must be a self-starter, have the able to follow directions, and demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills.
Must be detail-oriented. Have a professional demeanor.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in performing AA duties and tasks. Ability to proofread for detail and accuracy of content and form.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
