NOTE:  (Operators that were in the Refrigeration Department prior to January 1, 2022, will have until January 2023 to complete their RETA CIRO.) 2) For new in house hires and those with under two years of experience this will be RETA CARO, Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator. New hires will have six months to schedule exam and upon two years of experience level the operator will have six months to schedule test for CIRO. New hires will receive training in hazardous response and confined space. 3) For new hires from outside the company should have one or more of the following criteria. Current CIRO or CARO RETA Certification Graduation from GCAP, or equivalent, Ammonia Refrigeration Operator 1 or greater. AAS in Refrigeration Technologies or Industrial Utilities from an accredited institution. Minimum of one-year previous ammonia industrial refrigeration experience as well as one of the above requirements. Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all ammonia refrigeration and HVAC equipment throughout the plant. room. If lacking the required certification, has a signed agreement with management on a time frame to successfully obtain the required certification and retain the awarded position.
