This is complex program management level work in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the daily operations of the Fire Marshal’s Office of the Community Development Department. In addition, as County Fire Marshal, the employee occupying the position of this classification is responsible for administering and supervising fire code education, inspections, investigations, plans review and enforcement programs. Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of subordinates responsible for the Fire Marshal's Office. The work requires making technical decisions related to State laws, County policy, ordinances, allocation of resources and divisional budgeting. Clark County Fire Marshall is to be fully qualified in the field of fire prevention and code enforcement to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the code official as set forth in Chapter 15.12 CLARK COUNTY FIRE CODE . The Clark County Fire Marshal shall be responsible for the administration and enforcement of this Code. In addition the Clark County Fire Marshal should foster consistent and positive collaboration within community development and all fire districts within Clark county Washington.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Four (4) year degree with major coursework in fire science or administration, law enforcement, business, or public administration, or related field. AND
Five (5) years experience in code administration or enforcement including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience. - OR -
Any equivalent combination (9 years) of relevant education, training and experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of this classification.
Possess a Fire Inspector certification from ICC or other approved organization.
Possess a Fire Investigator certification from NAFI, IAAI, or other approved organization.

Purpose Reporting to the Head of Printed & Published Media and Metadata Services, the Metadata Specialist engages in metadata analysis, remediation and/or enhancement to support improved discovery, access, and accurate representation of the Ransom Center's collections in a manner that is respectful to the individuals and communities who create, use, and are represented in them.
Success in this position requires a combination of analytical skills, creative thinking, and eagerness to experiment and learn new tools for problem solving and efficiency gains.
Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with the Unit Head to analyze legacy and newly created descriptive metadata distributed in different systems (QI, CONTENTdm, Alma/Primo, SQL databases) encoded in different formats and metadata schemas (MARC, EAD, Dublin Core, etc...) for quality, consistency, completeness and adequacy to facilitate coherent aggregation with other data and display on the Center’s Website
Performs activities in support of controlled vocabularies and entity management workflows, including reconciliation with external data sources (LCNAF, VIAF, ULAN, SNAC, Wikidata)
Participates in the Unit standards discussion meetings and contributes to documentation development and maintenance efforts
Communicates with metadata stakeholders, including colleagues from the Technical and Digital Services Division, the Research Services Division and Curatorial Services, providing input for appropriate meetings and committees as needed
Takes part in professional development activities, including attending workshops, webinars, and conferences, to stay informed of evolving cataloging trends, and changes in best practices and standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to the position
Experience managing metadata, including data standardization, remediation, mapping, and repurposing metadata for reuse

Duties
What makes this role unique?
In this role, you will help increase and improve the learning opportunities available to Ecology’s workforce in topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect (DEIR). You will do this by bringing your expertise in learning and development to collaborate with experts in DEIR, to help identify Ecology’s workforce needs and the best ways to meet those needs. Challenges may include hearing tough feedback, balancing diverse opinions, and ensuring inclusion of key interested parties; opportunities include growing in your own learning and helping our workforce to grow as well, to cocreate a workplace where all belong. What you will do:
Align all work with Ecology’s strategic efforts in DEIR, pro-equity anti-racism, accessibility, belonging, restorative justice, environmental justice, and other related efforts, such as the work of Ecology’s DEIR Design Team.
Create and support multiple channels for gathering feedback from DEIR subject matter experts and key interested parties, including convening a Learning and Development Advisory Group.
Identify potential learning opportunities to meet Ecology’s business needs and facilitate evaluation and piloting of those opportunities.
Provide consultation to Ecology’s workforce at all levels about training operations, opportunities, and services.
Administer a portfolio of learning and development opportunities, from contract development to invoice approval, to support Ecology’s strategic efforts in DEIR.
Administer Ecology’s learning management system, the Washington State Learning Center, in support of this work.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:
30 hours worked per week for 20 months: (30/40) x 20 months = 15 months full-time equivalent
20 hours worked per week for 12 months: (20/40) x 12 months = 6 months full-time equivalent
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, education, and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.

What makes this role unique?
In this role, you will help increase and improve the learning opportunities available to Ecology’s workforce in topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect (DEIR). You will do this by bringing your expertise in learning and development to collaborate with experts in DEIR, to help identify Ecology’s workforce needs and the best ways to meet those needs. Challenges may include hearing tough feedback, balancing diverse opinions, and ensuring inclusion of key interested parties; opportunities include growing in your own learning and helping our workforce to grow as well, to cocreate a workplace where all belong. What you will do:
Align all work with Ecology’s strategic efforts in DEIR, pro-equity anti-racism, accessibility, belonging, restorative justice, environmental justice, and other related efforts, such as the work of Ecology’s DEIR Design Team.
Create and support multiple channels for gathering feedback from DEIR subject matter experts and key interested parties, including convening a Learning and Development Advisory Group.
Identify potential learning opportunities to meet Ecology’s business needs and facilitate evaluation and piloting of those opportunities.
Provide consultation to Ecology’s workforce at all levels about training operations, opportunities, and services.
Administer a portfolio of learning and development opportunities, from contract development to invoice approval, to support Ecology’s strategic efforts in DEIR.
Administer Ecology’s learning management system, the Washington State Learning Center, in support of this work.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Years of required experience indicated below are full-time equivalent years. Full-time equivalent experience means that any experience where working hours were less than 40 hours per week will be prorated in order to meet the equivalency of full-time. We would calculate this by looking at the total hours worked per week, divide this by 40, and then multiply by the total number of months worked. Examples of the proration calculations are:

As a part of the Preservation & Digital Stewardship unit, this position provides management and oversight of the Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) and affiliated public-facing discovery interfaces for UT Libraries, including policy and workflow development, training, and metadata support.

Provide digital asset management project support and training
Provide consultation in support of UT Libraries’ digital projects.

The Business and Community Education department provides services to the community, students and businesses looking for short-term training, continuing education, workforce training, apprenticeships, customized business training and community resources.
As an Assistant II you are responsible for providing administrative support to the Business and Community Education department. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service as well as providing support for a variety of special projects, committees, functions, and activities. Additionally, you oversee student records, open enrollment registration, third-party billing, receive payments, and provide customer service and support for instructors and students.

Works closely with other areas of college that can include other campuses, departments, and the foundation office.
Creates and maintains paper and electronic databases and records.
Coordinates materials and refreshments for activities and meetings include arranging room setup.
Partners with third-party vendors and/or sponsors to assist students with registration, gathering payment information, and disseminating credential information.

Knowledge of Student Information Systems (Banner), document management ( BDM ), degree audits (Degree Works) and familiarity with the physical campus at the College of Charleston and its academic departments is preferred. Knowledge of policies and procedures of other College units (i.e., Financial Aid) that impact the Office of the Registrar is preferred. Must have experience working with FERPA policies and procedures. Must have the ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies within established guidelines and have exceptional organizational skills to ensure a smooth flow of office business.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
This position may require weekend work for assistance with commencement events.

Job Purpose
The Student Services Associate ( SSA ) position provides key services crucial to the Office of the Registrar regarding student records support and maintenance. Provides support to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public, by triaging and resolving questions about academic policies and procedures and processing student records requests, documents and forms.
