The Hope College political science department invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in American politics beginning the 2018-19 academic year. We seek candidates who are broadly trained in American politics and who are qualified to teach undergraduate research methods. The teaching expectations include an introductory survey course in American government, courses in American political institutions (congress, the presidency), and courses in one or more of the following areas: ethnic/minority politics, domestic political economy, public opinion and mass media, and state and local politics. The position also includes participation in Hope's highly regarded Washington D.C. honors program.
