Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Designs and implements instruction aligned with student learning objectives/outcomes.
Uses various instructional methods and materials that are appropriate to facilitate stated learning outcomes.
Assesses student learning on a regular basis, and provides progress reports as requested and required.
Motivates, inspires and retains students in the program.
Assists with student recruiting, advising and graduate placement.
Maintains and evaluates program and student performance.
Establishes and maintains linkages with local industry and service area secondary education facilities.
Maintains cooperative relationships with the Dean, other faculty, the program’s Advisory Committee, all divisions of the College, prospective employers, and the community.
Participates actively as a department member with a focus on student learning,
Performs other duties as assigned.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Business Administration or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credits in marketing or combination of fields that provide a foundation in the specific subject matter being taught.

Clean Water Action/Clean Water Fund

Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are looking for an energetic ReThink Disposable Engagement Coordinator in the San Francisco Bay Area to coordinate ReThink’s food service businesses recruitment to change a food service system that relies on single-use disposable food and beverage packaging. ReThink Disposable is a data-driven waste reduction program that works with governments, businesses and institutions and consumers to prioritize reuse-centric food service to conserve resources and prevent waste and litter. The Bay Area’s amazing cultural and ethnic diversity is reflected in our robust restaurant industry. We’re looking for a motivated, multi-lingual candidate who can work with diverse businesses and individuals.
The ReThink Disposable Engagement Coordinator will coordinate and execute the program’s engagement activities in multiple jurisdictions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and play a key role in developing partnerships to advance and improve the program. This job requires an individual with that special knack of persuasion, someone who is professional, pleasantly persistent, has excellent communications skills, makes friends fast, and thrives on helping people be more planet-forward. Past experience in canvassing is very useful, as this job requires extensive in-person visits to prospective ReThink Disposable businesses. Since this work is mostly in the field (3 days per week at least), the individual will be expected to schedule their own days, optimizing routes to reach as many businesses as possible each day, and be okay with working alone and self-motivating.
Experience in zero waste or waste reduction is a plus. The Engagement Coordinator will be expected, with the assistance of the ReThink Program Director, to identify reusable solutions, sometimes for very specific client needs.
Primary duties include:
Conduct field outreach and recruit businesses to participate in ReThink Disposable program, with a focus on engaging businesses owned and managed by Black, indigenous, people of color, women, and/or non-English monolingual individuals;
Support ReThink Program Director in contract administration and development of new contracts and proposals;
Assist with creating and translating ReThink Disposable internal/external communications needs such as program promotion, marketing, and sharing business accomplishments;
Meet targets for recruiting business participants on time and with significant results;
Participate in meetings to plan, coordinate, and implement ReThink Disposable program;
Foster existing and new partnerships with zero-waste and community-based organizations to further the mission of the program in a collaborative fashion by requesting, hosting, and facilitating meetings with allies;
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisors.
Qualifications:
Able to communicate effectively with businesses and the public (canvass experience a plus); good writing skills needed as well;
Fluency in a language in addition to English (preference for Spanish) is a plus;
Experience in the food service industry;
Experience in managing contracts and writing reports;

To advance our mission, we are seeking a full-time Marketing Director for Garden for Wildlife™ to join our staff, working out of our Reston, VA, office with telework options. In this role you will lead the new Garden for Wildlife™ Enterprise (GFWE) digital marketing strategy and campaigns to drive product sales and community growth to expand access to native plants and trees, scale the conservation impact, and create an engaged and diverse community of wildlife gardeners – effectively revolutionizing the way all people plant to benefit wildlife and communities.
The GFWE is an independent business unit within the Innovation and Growth division and this position reports directly to the Head of Garden for Wildlife/AVP and is a team player in the Garden for Wildlife senior team that includes the directors of GFWE Operations and Growth, Tech Product Owner, and Finance. You will lead the strategy and execution of all B2C marketing and communication efforts, including brand experience, messaging, and identity, as well as direct product sales and marketing campaigns, in order to meet the revenue and impact goals of the business.

1) Garden for Wildlife™ brand consistency through every consumer touchpoint
2) Optimized customer experience and community engagement
3) Product visibility and sales primarily through digital marketing
You will ultimately grow revenue and participation via a platform that seamlessly engages environmentally minded gardeners through personalized experience that connects: DIY solutions, science-based data, and mapping for impact with a passionate interactive community.
In this role you will:
Oversee marketing and communication strategies, tactics and messaging maximizing purchasing performance to achieve sales targets and revenue goals. This includes the development and execution of digital, SEO, and paid social advertising programs for the business.
Effectively manage the marketing budget and spend to maximize efficiencies and optimize campaign performance.
Recruit and manage a diverse and dynamic team that will drive strategy, growth and impact. Direct reports will include GFWE Digital Media Manager, Community Manager, and close collaboration with the GFWE Web content coordinator and Tech Product owner.
Propel an equity and justice culture across all enterprise departments, ensuring this culture is imbedded into hiring and business practices, vendor relationships, corporate partnerships and product offerings, as well as inclusivity and diversity in advertising, content development and storytelling.
Manage media agency, brand, and creative consultants to ensure effectiveness of paid campaigns and the brand integrity and quality deliverables.
Ensure all customer touchpoints reinforce an equitable and inclusive brand experience and represents a diversity of customers.
Successfully collaborate with internal National Wildlife Federation marketing membership digital teams, to connect the GFWE with other Garden for Wildlife™ related programs or campaigns and to leverage appropriate NWF house channels to drive awareness of brand and purchase of product offerings
Qualifications:
Minimum seven years of national consumer marketing leadership experience in e-commerce digital platforms.
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns and revenue growth.
Strong understanding of how all current digital marketing channels function.
Demonstrated success in brand campaigns to growing and building new initiatives or businesses.
Solid knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices.

In this role you will lead the new Garden for Wildlife™ Enterprise (GFWE) digital marketing strategy and campaigns to drive product sales and community growth to expand access to native plants and trees, scale the conservation impact, and create an engaged and diverse community of wildlife gardeners – effectively revolutionizing the way all people plant to benefit wildlife and communities.
The GFWE is an independent business unit within the Innovation and Growth division and this position reports directly to the Head of Garden for Wildlife/AVP and is a team player in the Garden for Wildlife senior team that includes the directors of GFWE Operations and Growth, Tech Product Owner, and Finance. You will lead the strategy and execution of all B2C marketing and communication efforts, including brand experience, messaging, and identity, as well as direct product sales and marketing campaigns, in order to meet the revenue and impact goals of the business.

You will ultimately grow revenue and participation via a platform that seamlessly engages environmentally minded gardeners through personalized experience that connects: DIY solutions, science-based data, and mapping for impact with a passionate interactive community.
In this role you will:
Oversee marketing and communication strategies, tactics and messaging maximizing purchasing performance to achieve sales targets and revenue goals. This includes the development and execution of digital, SEO, and paid social advertising programs for the business.
Effectively manage the marketing budget and spend to maximize efficiencies and optimize campaign performance.
Recruit and manage a diverse and dynamic team that will drive strategy, growth and impact. Direct reports will include GFWE Digital Media Manager, Community Manager, and close collaboration with the GFWE Web content coordinator and Tech Product owner.
Propel an equity and justice culture across all enterprise departments, ensuring this culture is imbedded into hiring and business practices, vendor relationships, corporate partnerships and product offerings, as well as inclusivity and diversity in advertising, content development and storytelling.
Manage media agency, brand, and creative consultants to ensure effectiveness of paid campaigns and the brand integrity and quality deliverables.
Ensure all customer touchpoints reinforce an equitable and inclusive brand experience and represents a diversity of customers.
Successfully collaborate with internal National Wildlife Federation marketing membership digital teams, to connect the GFWE with other Garden for Wildlife™ related programs or campaigns and to leverage appropriate NWF house channels to drive awareness of brand and purchase of product offerings
Qualifications:
Minimum seven years of national consumer marketing leadership experience in e-commerce digital platforms.
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns and revenue growth.
Strong understanding of how all current digital marketing channels function.
Demonstrated success in brand campaigns to growing and building new initiatives or businesses.
Solid knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of market drivers for the millennial audience and gardening industry
MBA in Marketing

The salary range for this position is currently $110,000 - $120,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
