LCV is hiring two Managing Directors of Development Partnerships who will be responsible for a portfolio of lead and principal level donors in a specific state or region and holds 35-50 visits with donors and prospects annually to raise the budgeted revenue for the assigned portfolio. Each Managing Director role will manage a team of 2-4 Directors of Development Partnerships, each of whom have visit and revenue goals related to their assigned portfolios, plus one Major Gifts support staff who works with the team so that each Managing Director will supervise between 3-5 staff on their team. This position is responsible for developing and implementing high level systems and processes in collaboration with other development managers that will support the Major Gifts Team’s ability to raise more money, more efficiently. The ideal candidate is a highly-skilled communicator, organized, ambitious, goal-driven, excels at managing people, and will be able to apply their expertise to coach and lead their major gifts team.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop 2-5 Directors of Development Partnerships and one Major Gifts Associate, Manager, or Coordinator. Ensure the team meets or exceeds their visit and revenue goals.
Lead regular team calls and retreats.
Write persuasive and personalized cases for support, emails, letters and proposals to donors and prospects including in depth descriptions of our programs and role in environmental advocacy, politics, and racial justice and equity. Use these communications as examples of donor engagement and share with the team regularly.
Regularly identify opportunities and lead projects to boost team performance and center LCV’s CLAASI Values (Community, Learning, Anti-Racism, Accountability, Sustainability, Innovation) as an effective trainer, compassionate coach and forward-thinking mentor.
Support direct reports in managing and developing a portfolio of about 120 current, lapsed and prospective donors, deepening relationships in person, over the phone, and in writing. Support each Director in sharpening their ability to talk about core racial justice and equity work, educate donors and other stakeholders on why this work is central to our mission, and challenge and persuade those who disagree.
Support and partner with organizational leaders to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward Principal donors.
Expand the portfolio of prospective donors to include more women, people of color and young people; broaden our current methods of identifying, cultivating and soliciting donors of color and build the skills and competencies of our team to meet this objective.
Work with staff to educate our current and prospective donors about the racial justice and equity work in which we are engaged, including drafting talking points and practicing for visits.

Qualifications:
Work Experience :
Required: 7 years of experience in fundraising, 3 of which are managing other fundraising staff, including a successful track record of personally meeting with donors and closing five and six-figure gifts. Experience directly supervising staff with varying levels of experience. Significant experience directly qualifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts prospects, including developing solicitation strategy from identification through stewardship. Significant experience contacting prospects and holding an ambitious number of donor visits per month.
Preferred – Issue advocacy, organizing and/or political fundraising experience. Experience managing up and working with an executive team. Experience with Salesforce.

Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is hiring a permanent, full-time Statewide Education Coordinator to plan, develop, implement, administer and manage multi-jurisdictional resources to provide instructional programs to increase the skills, knowledge and career opportunities of youth in the Oregon Youth Authority. You will develop, coordinate, and implement programs that support the educational, vocational and employment needs of youth. As the statewide education coordinator you will create operational alignment with peer state agencies, non profits, and community businesses to develop employment internships, formal apprenticeship programs, and work experience partnerships, including budget review/oversight, policy development, alignment of content specific education courses, alignment of education and vocational programs and continuous improvement efforts. POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, the Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAP Center), is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Policy for Prevent Child Abuse California (PCACA) and the California Family Resource Association (CFRA). This individual will be responsible for policy (legislative activities and advocacy for the CAP Center) and for CFRA’s membership (leadership, operations, oversight, effectiveness, and sustainability).
The Director of Policy is the chief policy leader for the organization, working directly with the legislature, the executive branch, Family Resource Center partners, and advocacy collaborations. The Director is responsible for developing a policy platform, initiating legislation, strategic partnerships, and budget proposals. This position is also responsible for CFRA’s membership (including internal and external communications, identifying emerging needs and opportunities for the association and its members, and ensuring member satisfaction, retention, and growth).
The Director of Policy works directly with Board of Directors’ Policy Committee. The Director supervises the CFRA Project Manager and the Communications Specialist. The Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAP Center) is a statewide training, education research, and resource center dedicated to strengthening children, families, and communities. POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, the Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAP Center), is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Policy for Prevent Child Abuse California (PCACA) and the California Family Resource Association (CFRA). This individual will be responsible for policy (legislative activities and advocacy for the CAP Center) and for CFRA’s membership (leadership, operations, oversight, effectiveness, and sustainability).
The Director of Policy is the chief policy leader for the organization, working directly with the legislature, the executive branch, Family Resource Center partners, and advocacy collaborations. The Director is responsible for developing a policy platform, initiating legislation, strategic partnerships, and budget proposals. This position is also responsible for CFRA’s membership (including internal and external communications, identifying emerging needs and opportunities for the association and its members, and ensuring member satisfaction, retention, and growth).
The Director of Policy works directly with Board of Directors’ Policy Committee. The Director supervises the CFRA Project Manager and the Communications Specialist. The Director of Policy reports directly to the CEO. The CFRA Project Manager and the Outreach and Communications Coordinator report directly to the Director of Policy.

The California Family Resource Association (californiafamilyresource.org) is a statewide membership association representing the 500 Family Resource Centers, Family Strengthening Networks, and other member organizations throughout California. CFRA is managed and supported as a program of the Child Abuse Prevention Center. The CFRA works collaboratively with its membership to move children and families to the forefront of policymaking in California.
The Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAP Center) is a statewide training, education research, and resource center dedicated to strengthening children, families, and communities. The CAP Center (thecapcenter.org) was founded in 1977 and began as one small organization local to Sacramento County. Since then, it has adopted multiple agencies, evolving into a unique blend of agencies, each taking a separate approach to child abuse prevention locally and statewide. The CAP Center prevents child abuse and neglect through four core strategies: Advocacy, Education, Health, and Safety. Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) California is the state agency of the national Prevent Child Abuse America (preventchildabuse.org). It operates statewide, providing home visitation, parenting education, and other prevention services directly to children and families throughout the state.

o will be effectively coordinating and conducting legislative visits and supporting Family Resource Centers to participate in visits and otherwise engage their legislators.
o will have established a calendar of network convenings.
o will have added 50 new members.

o will be seen as an effective advocate for CFRA and a valued member of the team and of the CAP Center Management Team.
