- Responsible for the performance, organization, and coordination of select functions of the molecular testing
laboratory and assures the smooth daily cGMP operation of the laboratory. Performs PCR, AS-PCR, PCR-RFLP
typing and other DNA-based typing techniques.
- Analyzes results and assigns molecular allele codes.
- Develops and implements new procedures and is familiar with the various computer software related to data analysis.
- Responsible for aiding in the training of new lab personnel.
“Position is a full-time (40 hour) day shift position, one weekend day required per week. Flexibility in schedule is possible and can be decided upon hire, for example a Tuesday through Saturday work week, Sunday through Thursday work week, or 4 10 hour day work week to include a weekend day.”
Masters of Science (MS) in Biology or related field OR Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field and 3 years
molecular laboratory experience. MT(ASCP) preferred; BB(ASCP) is beneficial.
Must have knowledge of molecular genetics and operation of equipment used in the laboratory. Must have a good
working knowledge of PCs and applicable software programs.
