Facility Property Manager General Duties: The Facility and Property Manager oversees the strategic plan, project management, budget, care, maintenance, and contracted work of assigned properties; and works with camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Oversight
Oversight of the implementation of the property strategic plan within camp's strategic plan.
Responsible for the management of property security practices and procedures.
Provide oversight and care of maintaining camp facilities, grounds including roads and fences, property and program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
Ensure that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and prepare facilities for changing weather conditions to reduce risk.
Manage daily tasks making autonomous decisions without management approval.
Conduct property assessments, inspections, and surveys for the need of immediate repairs and/or renovations, and long-term planning and property improvements.
Responsible for the follow through and updates of daily, weekly, and annual property SOPs.
Maintain a positive rapport and relationship with local sheriff, fire and rescue services for the safety and protection of camp.
Work with various state agencies for inspections, water systems testing and forest mitigation.
Oversight for scheduling and set-up of vendors for maintenance/repairs and contract maintenance.
Provide project management of on-site property work, including that of contracted work and/or maintenance.
Research and coordinate projected capital project expenses, including obtaining quotes from various vendors as necessary.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction programs.
Cross Functional Work
Support the marketing and advertisement of strategic property usage.
Support care of livestock, providing feeding, daily chores, transportation (including evacuation) of animals, and purchasing of feed/equipment.
Provide transportation of persons, equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.
Deliver emergency management during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide site training and orientation to all camp staff.
Provide and support safe and healthy practices.
In coordination with the camp team, facilitate camp property usage including scheduling, reservations, customer communication, external community partnerships, check-in and check-out, orientation, and other operational logistics.
Manage site and program equipment, including storage, maintenance, and coordination with fellow team members.

Chispa, a program of LCV, works to ensure that Latine communities and leaders have a strong voice in the movement for climate justice and within the environmental movement and influence the environmental policies and decisions that impact our health and environment. Based in the Community & Civic Engagement department, Chispa has programs in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, and Texas.
LCV is hiring a Chispa Texas Digital Organizer who will integrate field organizing with online action and work with the Chispa TX Program Director to oversee the online presence for Chispa TX. The focus of this role is on building, engaging, and growing our bilingual online community via social media, email, mobile, online advocacy, and other Conservation Voter Movement resources and tools. The Digital Organizer will use digital tools to advance our campaigns and strategy in the field and online and mobilize and grow our statewide base of volunteers and supporters around our organizing campaigns. This position will join a dynamic, skilled and growing data-driven organizing team, working closely with the Chispa TX Program Director, Chispa national team, and community members and leaders. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated, enthusiastic organizer passionate about the fight for climate justice and ready to take action to hold polluters accountable and advocate for community-driven solutions to address climate change and environmental racism.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Chispa National Communications Director, Chispa Digital & Creative Campaigns Manager, and Chispa National Senior Director to engage supporters to take action and keep in touch with our program through email, social media, digital ads, mobile platforms, petitions, website(s) and other online mediums, including organizing online supporters to take offline action in order to support our campaigns and program.
Work with Chispa TX Program Director to ensure accurate data program tracking related to the email lists, acquisition, event participation, signups, Chispa TX website, and Chispa TX social channels to improve the effectiveness of our campaigns and program and to inform future strategies.

YOUR IMPACT
Execute media, public relations, and communications strategies for It’s On Us, The Change Collective, and Civic Nation’s campaigns.
Create, write, edit, and send press releases, talking points, op-eds, advisories and other written materials.
Manage media outreach and pitching and landing stories that reach the initiative's target audiences.
Work directly with the EVP of Communications to develop campaign strategies and action plans, and ensure initiatives are prioritizing equity and inclusion.
Work closely with initiative and campaign staff to understand the full scope of their work and help them meet strategic communications goals.
Respond to incoming media inquiries, prepare initiative leaders, and follow up with reporters.
Partner with digital, partnerships, talent, and other teams around rollouts.
Work on large and smaller scale events with stakeholders, thought leaders, media, etc.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
4+ years of experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or press management; primarily with advocacy, social justice, policy, and/or a political focus.
Strong writing skills with the ability to distill information in a way that is accessible to students, administrators, and our general audience.
A track record of getting results in a fast-paced communications environment, balancing multiple projects on tight deadlines.
Newsroom, political, agency, and/or nonprofit experience is preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The Washington, DC-based salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 (will be adjusted for cost of labor for the incumbent's work location) annually, commensurate with experience. What is a Community Connections Director?

NextGen America is seeking passionate and hardworking candidates to join our youth organizing program in Arizona, working to engage young people in electoral politics by registering thousands of young people to vote across the state. NextGen is committed to engaging young people in Arizona in the political process and increasing participation among 18-35 year olds. This role will be focused on organizing in one of several regions in Arizona as part of this ambitious effort.

The primary work location for this role will be assigned at time of hire. This is an in-person position and you will be required to work on your primary campus according to the schedule laid out below.
In Arizona, this effort will focus on organizing young people on campuses and the surrounding communities to bring progressive change to government through voting. Our work will engage young people in voter registration efforts, volunteer recruitment, and pledging young people to vote. Regional Organizing Directors need to be comfortable and confident in: mobilizing their own community, growing their network to include new volunteers to train, and motivating community leaders to help register and mobilize their own networks. Regional Organizing Directors are directly responsible for managing a team of volunteers in their region to hit weekly and phase metric goals.
This role reports to the Organizing Director in Arizona.

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE:
Recruit and train organizers to organize effectively and efficiently on their campuses and in their communities
In-person organizing, including voter and community engagement, businesses, campuses and NextGen-sponsored events
Manage organizers to hit their goals
Recruit and manage volunteers as necessary
Promote and execute events worthy of press and media
Develop relationships and partnerships with local community, student groups, and campus administrations in order to hit goals
Execute campaign plans and effective organizing tactics including traditional grassroots voter contact, creative earned media actions, recruitment, event planning and turnout

REQUIRED SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY:
This role has a structured schedule as defined in the collective bargaining agreement between represented field staff and NextGen. As with most jobs in field organizing, the schedule for this role will fluctuate based on the time of year. This position is a full time exempt position and the hours here are general expectations for what the time requirement will be to effectively complete your responsibilities. Applicants must have the willingness and ability to work the following schedule:
A work schedule consisting of approximately 8-10 hours per day, 5 days per week
General availability to work weekends and irregular hours
A high capacity work schedule during designated events (For example: campus welcome weeks, the weeks leading up to voter registration deadlines) consisting of approximately 10-12 hours per day, 6 days per week
A work schedule consisting of up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week for the 14 days leading up to the General Election (on even years only)

Facility Property Manager General Duties: The Facility and Property Manager oversees the strategic plan, project management, budget, care, maintenance, and contracted work of assigned properties; and works with camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp Facility Oversight
Oversight of the implementation of the property strategic plan within camp's strategic plan.
Responsible for the management of property security practices and procedures.
Provide oversight and care of maintaining camp facilities, grounds including roads and fences, property and program equipment, and machinery are in safe, well-functioning, working, and clean condition.
Ensure that all safety-related projects/needs are completed in a swift and timely manner and prepare facilities for changing weather conditions to reduce risk.
Manage daily tasks making autonomous decisions without management approval.
Conduct property assessments, inspections, and surveys for the need of immediate repairs and/or renovations, and long-term planning and property improvements.
Responsible for the follow through and updates of daily, weekly, and annual property SOPs.
Maintain a positive rapport and relationship with local sheriff, fire and rescue services for the safety and protection of camp.
Work with various state agencies for inspections, water systems testing and forest mitigation.
Oversight for scheduling and set-up of vendors for maintenance/repairs and contract maintenance.
Provide project management of on-site property work, including that of contracted work and/or maintenance.
Research and coordinate projected capital project expenses, including obtaining quotes from various vendors as necessary.
Responsible for performing various skilled trade tasks for facility maintenance and construction programs.
Cross Functional Work
Support the marketing and advertisement of strategic property usage.
Support care of livestock, providing feeding, daily chores, transportation (including evacuation) of animals, and purchasing of feed/equipment.
Provide transportation of persons, equipment, machinery, luggage, and various materials when needed.
Deliver emergency management during on-site and off-site trip incidents.
Provide site training and orientation to all camp staff.

Facility Property Manager General Duties: The Facility and Property Manager oversees the strategic plan, project management, budget, care, maintenance, and contracted work of assigned properties; and works with camp team to deliver services and maintain the site in a safe working order.

NextGen America is seeking passionate and hardworking candidates to join our youth organizing program in Michigan, working to engage young people in electoral politics by registering thousands of young people to vote across the state. NextGen is committed to engaging young people in Michigan in the political process and increasing participation among 18-35 year olds. The primary work location for this role will be Wayne State University. This is an in-person position and you will be required to work on your primary campus according to the schedule laid out below.
In Michigan, this effort will focus on organizing young people on campuses and the surrounding communities to bring progressive change to government through voting. Our work will engage young people in voter registration efforts, volunteer recruitment, and pledging young people to vote. Organizers need to be comfortable and confident in: mobilizing their own community, growing their network to include new volunteers to train, and motivating community leaders to help register and mobilize their own networks.
