PeopleTec, Inc. is currently seeking a Digital M&S Test and Evaluation Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Position Overview: Support developmental test planning and execution; design and development; and test analysis and assessment of Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Digital M&S Products, which will be the Missile Defense Agency's Tier 2 Digital M&S system assessment capability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Lead and assist with development of M&S test plans and procedures to include pass/fail test criteria Lead and assist with setting up M&S test environments, defining test cases and data collection Lead and assist with M&S test result analyses and engage Subject Matter Expert (SME) assistance as required to collaboratively identify root cause and corrective action apply knowledge of software products, software test methods and tools to define and characterize behavior and identify M&S developmental defects. Proactively resolve technical issues that could impact development schedule or overall performance of the Digital effort Document M&S defects in the system such as Engineering Observation Reports (EORs) - and support Observations and Change processes Develop Schedules, Plans of Actions and Milestones to maintain development and test schedules Prepare and present M&S test status reports, briefings, and evaluation reports Conduct and participate in technical meetings and working groups.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong technical understanding of models and simulations, especially constructive and digital simulations
  • Experience conducting software test planning, execution and analyses
  • Ability to develop and present test and analysis briefings to senior leadership
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product test and evaluation in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Five to twelve years of software test experience at the unit, integration, and system test levels.
  • General understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes and policies
  • Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic and proactive in all manners related to the job
  • Clear and effective oral and written communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Travel: 5%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5-12 years of software test experience.

 

Desired Skills:

Previous MDA experience
