Job Description

Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of CAMP Recruiter/Enrollment Specialist.  This position vacancy location can be located in either Lewiston, Idaho or Boise, Idaho.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:  $35,155 (11 month position)

Degree Requirement:  Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications: 

  • Fluent in Spanish (written and oral)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to organize resources, establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel several weeks per year both in-state and out-of-state
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent listening and oral communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of college entrance testing and application process
  • College financial assistance including FAFSA preparation
  • Other duties TBD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Education or other related field
  • 2+ years of experience in admissions, recruitment, and/or other service related position in education
  • Background similar to CAMP population and/or professional experience working with target population


  • Travel to high schools, community colleges, career fairs, and other venues to promote, represent and recruit the college to prospective CAMP eligible participants
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with high school counselors, community colleges advisors, career center advisors, high school advisors, and other referral agents
  • Serve as primary contact and implement daily follow-up procedures for potential CAMP eligible participants
  • Provide general advice and guidance on matters related to financial aid, scholarships, fee payment, and other enrollment services/programs to prospective students, parents and special groups for pre-enrollment advising
  • Develop special marketing brochures, websites, and recruiting gear for Spanish speaking families and potential CAMP participants
  • Develop information sessions/special events in Southern Idaho and on-campus for Spanish speaking families
  • Recommend strategies on how to support Hispanic students on Campus
  • Serve as initial enrollment advisor for Boise and Southern Idaho students
  • Assist, when appropriate, in the development of on-campus programs and events for prospective students
  • Inform, assist, and acquire all enrollment paperwork to expedite enrollment procedures
  • Inform, assist, and acquire all CAMP eligibility paperwork
  • Schedule recruitment visits during recruitment months at various high schools, college/career fairs, and partnering agencies
  • Maintain electronic databases for outreach contact and online applications
