Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Designs and implements instruction aligned with student learning objectives/outcomes.
Employs various instructional methods and materials that are appropriate for meeting stated objectives, assessing accomplishments of students on a regular basis, and providing progress reports as requested and required.
Formulates and maintains curriculum for assigned courses.
Supervises and advises students. Motivates, inspires and retains students in the program.
Maintains and evaluates program and student performance.
Maintains cooperative relationships with the Dean, Dental Administrative chair, other faculty, the program’s Advisory Committee, all divisions of the College, prospective employers, and the community.
Participates actively as a department member with a focus on student learning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in Dental Assisting from a Commission on Dental Accreditation Accredited Program and a Bachelor’s degree in health, education, or a related science field.
Three years of full-time recent experience in clinical dentistry.
Certified in CPR, First Aid, and Mandatory Reporter Child and Adult Dependents.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new and current technical skills and ideas.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills to positively interact with students, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrated motivation to serve students from all backgrounds and educational experiences.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations (faculty, staff, students, and general public) in a professional and personable manner.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Division of Student Affairs is seeking a full-time International Student Specialist to join the Office of the Registrar's team. Assists with recruitment strategies, planning and conducting outreach activities, and tracking data on international student recruitment efforts via partnership with the Admissions Department.
Assists with proctoring placement tests for international students as needed.
May supervise AmeriCorps members focused on student success of international students.

Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for a part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach to join their team.
The Assistant Volleyball Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the women’s volleyball program. Job Summary
Hawkeye Community College’s Athletics program is looking for two part-time Assistant Wrestling Coaches to join their team.
The Assistant Wrestling Coach assists with the supervision and coaching of practices and competitions for the Wrestling program. This position will aid in recruiting student athletes, directing practices, managing practice and travel schedules, as well as, supervising team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, and other events where the team is represented. Furthermore, this position participates in the planning, organizing, and execution of preseason and season practices in addition to fostering a positive team atmosphere and supporting student athletes’ academic progress, retention, and graduation through mentoring activities and guidance to appropriate support services. Due to the nature of the work involved in coaching; many weeks will entail morning, evening, and weekend hours. Needs of the department vary and the percent of time devoted to each part of the job will be governed by seasonal and immediate needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
