The communications senior coordinator will support CRCL’s communication and public relations activities. The communications senior coordinator will play a central role in planning and hosting the 2025 State of the Coast conference, the largest gathering of its kind in Louisiana. Secondarily, as a member of the communications team, the coordinator will help create content for and manage the organization’s website and social media; contribute to marketing and development campaigns; help generate digital and print products, including newsletters; and track and analyze data to inform communication activities. The coordinator will also be a member of the communications team of Restore the Mississippi River Delta, a five-organization campaign that includes CRCL. The strongest candidates will bring creativity as well as strong organization skills.
The communications senior coordinator will work closely with the executive director, partner organizations and other staff members in planning and executing the State of the Coast conference, focusing largely on the conference logistics and framework. This conference will be held over three days starting in late May of 2025. The coordinator will work with colleagues, contractors, partners and participants to ensure the conference is useful, engaging, effective and well organized, with communications planning, graphic design, website and app development and overall workflow coordination as the primary focuses.
The communications senior coordinator will work with the communications director to shape content that shares the work of the organization and other relevant information to CRCL supporters. The coordinator should have experience with writing external-facing communications, with social media platforms, with content management systems such as WordPress and software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere and Canva.
The Communications Department connects to all other departments within the organization, as well as with the public. The communications senior coordinator should be familiar with Asana and other workflow platforms to coordinate events, graphics, etc. Familiarity with coastal restoration is important. The position will report to the director of communications.
Responsibilities
Coordinate planning of the 2025 State of the Coast conference with event consultants, CRCL staff, Serve Louisiana partners, the Program Committee and others.
Manage project coordination, communications planning, graphic design and website and app development for the State of the Coast conference.
Create digital content, including video content, for the organization’s websites: crcl.org, stateofthecoast.org and centralwetlands.org.
Create content for and design printed materials (flyers, pamphlets, etc.); create social media, eblast and newsletter content and manage content across platforms.
Track and analyze data to evaluate the reach of CRCL communications via newsletters, websites, social media.
Manage information, including documents, images, graphics and video, in internal databases.
Work with development and other staff to establish and strengthen visual identity for organization and conference.
Support the application of DEIJ principles internally and externally to increase collaboration with and participation of communities underrepresented in our coastal work.
Support the communications team to advance the mission and strategic plan of CRCL.

Generation Hope is seeking a Director of Communications to develop and lead our overarching communications strategy to enhance Generation Hope’s visibility nationally, regionally, and locally by effectively conveying our mission, programs, and impact to various stakeholders, including student parents, donors, partner organizations, policymakers, and the broader field of higher education. The Director will also drive efforts to enhance Generation Hope’s thought leadership profile through traditional earned media efforts and content development via our own channels. Support the Learning & Innovation team by developing and refining technical assistance and FamilyU materials for marketing and programmatic use
Work with the Policy & Research team to respond quickly to legislative shifts that could impact student parents and families by assisting with drafting official statements, talking points, briefs, op-eds, etc., and by pursuing relevant media opportunities
Collaborate with the Operations team to position Generation Hope as a nationally-celebrated workplace
Play a key role in rolling out Generation Hope research and reports and lead efforts to disseminate findings, including through website downloads
With the Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator, review talking points, remarks, presentations, and other supporting material for Generation Hope CEO and staff, as needed
Oversee processes to effectively capture programming and impact by engaging photographers, videographers, and other vendors, as necessary
Provide hands-on crisis communications support and counsel across Generation Hope, as needed
Management
Oversee the Communications team, directly supervising the Communications Manager and supporting their supervision of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Communications Coordinator, and other team members as we continue to grow the team. Provide ongoing coaching and development and promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee the creation of timelines for all communications projects and establish accountability systems for the completion of major tasks
Work closely with our Development team to ensure strong partnership with funders and supporters. Act as an effective steward of program-restricted resources by managing and monitoring the Communications budget.

The HECHO Communications Coordinator will report to and support HECHO’s Communications Director in developing compelling messages, uplifting strong messengers, and using targeted communications vehicles to support our advocacy and education campaigns. This person will work closely with HECHO staff, NWF staff, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council, and our partners to implement successful communications campaigns, projects, strategies, and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Communications Director to develop and implement a comprehensive communications outreach plan for both English-language and Spanish-language content, including an editorial and social media calendar, to authentically engage HECHO’s followers, event participants, and volunteers.
Regularly write content in English and Spanish including blog posts, fact sheets, issue briefs, letters, op-eds, and newsletters.
Write and distribute press releases and background materials in English and Spanish on efforts of interest to national, regional, and web media.
Create original content for various social media accounts, including taking a similar piece and showcasing it differently depending on the platform.

This position will require a willingness to travel by vehicle throughout Arizona to meet with leaders individually, organize meetings and events, and to build relationships on behalf of HECHO. Key responsibilities:
Represent HECHO and build working relationships with members of the HECHO Advisory Board, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council (HCLC), partner non-profits, the media, the donor community, and governmental entities at the local, state, and federal levels to increase HECHO’s conservation impact, level of support, and visibility throughout Arizona.
Cultivate authentic, mutually beneficial relationships with Hispanic local and state elected and community leaders to build and nurture the HCLC and Digital Advocacy Network.
Mobilize Hispanic leader support for federal, state, and local conservation policies, including combating climate change, protecting public lands and water resources, restoring wildlife habitat connectivity, and advancing environmental justice goals.
Communicate effectively with the Advisory Board and HCLC leaders – providing all information necessary to function properly and to inspire their active engagement and support of local and national activities.
Develop field workplans and organizing tactics (i.e. cafecitos, roundtables, field trips, days of action) that are aligned with HECHO priorities.
Work with HECHO staff to create targeted outreach materials (i.e. press releases, letters to the editor, blogs, factsheets, petitions, digital content) to help generate local media, mobilize grasstops leaders and grassroots activists, and engage with and influence elected and appointed officials on our policy priorities.
Identify emerging issues and seek opportunities for additional funding and capacity-building for HECHO.

Initially reporting to the HECHO Executive Director, the Field Coordinator will be responsible for deepening and cultivating authentic partnerships, and developing targeted outreach strategies, tactics, tools, and trainings that advance HECHO’s policy and strategic priorities in Arizona. Key responsibilities:
Represent HECHO and build working relationships with members of the HECHO Advisory Board, HECHO’s Hispanic Conservation Leadership Council (HCLC), partner non-profits, the media, the donor community, and governmental entities at the local, state, and federal levels to increase HECHO’s conservation impact, level of support, and visibility throughout Arizona.
Cultivate authentic, mutually beneficial relationships with Hispanic local and state elected and community leaders to build and nurture the HCLC and Digital Advocacy Network.
Mobilize Hispanic leader support for federal, state, and local conservation policies, including combating climate change, protecting public lands and water resources, restoring wildlife habitat connectivity, and advancing environmental justice goals.
Communicate effectively with the Advisory Board and HCLC leaders – providing all information necessary to function properly and to inspire their active engagement and support of local and national activities.
Develop field workplans and organizing tactics (i.e. cafecitos, roundtables, field trips, days of action) that are aligned with HECHO priorities.

Technicians will inspect, document, and maintain green infrastructure facilities including rain gardens, bioswales, and conservation landscaping. In evenings and Saturday, technicians will canvass homes to educate residents about the Downspout DIsconnection program, document and audit homes for program eligibility, and disconnect downspouts and install rain barrels.
Position Detail:
Downspout Disconnection
In 2017, the Downspout Disconnection Program was launched in conjunction with D.C. Water’s Clean Rivers Project. Phase II of this program was completed in 2018, and Phase III completed in September 2019. The program provides eligible residents of select areas in Washington, D.C. with free downspout disconnections and rain barrels.
Working in teams of 2, the primary duties of Technicians will include: door-to-door canvassing to enroll homeowners in the program, auditing downspouts, disconnecting downspouts, and installing rain barrels. The position will involve significant amounts of time communicating with homeowners about the program, completing downspout data entry using the ArcGIS Collector application, and performing downspout disconnections and rain barrel installations.

To advance our mission, we are seeking a full-time Sporting Communications Coordinator to join our team, preferably in Montana or Colorado. (Due to COVID-19 all employees are working remotely until we make return to work decisions). Your primary role will be to develop a robust communications program that can cultivate, engage, and mobilize hunters and anglers in the National Wildlife Federation’s conservation mission.
In this role you will:
Develop and Implement a Sporting Communications Strategy :
Work with Director of Sporting Advocacy and Artemis program manager to build and implement a sporting communication strategy for NWF
Work with Director of Sporting Advocacy and Artemis program manager to develop and manage all aspects of the National Wildlife Federation Outdoors brand’s external communications across multiple media, including print, broadcast, and social media
Strengthen the National Wildlife Federation’s brand presence in the sporting community through entrepreneurial engagement with the outdoor industry, media, and partner organizations
Work with Director of Sporting Advocacy and Artemis program manager to develop and implement strategies to increase National Wildlife Federation Outdoors’ social media presence
Assist sporting staff with communication strategies for sporting conservation issues; including primary communications responsibility for the Lead-Free Landscapes campaign
Engage National Wildlife Federation in the effort to diversify and grow participation in hunting and fishing through recruitment, retention, and reactivation communication activities
Develop and implement a process for tracking the impact of communications strategies
Cultivate and Maintain Outdoor Media Relations:
Cultivate and sustain relationships with members of the outdoor media, including through active involvement in outdoor media associations and regular communications with outdoor media members
Inform media about National Wildlife Federation issues relevant to hunters and anglers through press releases, statements, advisories, and presentations
Promote National Wildlife Federation’s expertise on conservation issues to the media
Secure earned media by pitching stories, op-eds, and editorials
Manage all sporting media contacts, respond to media requests, and track media exposure
Produce National Wildlife Federation Content for Sporting Audiences:
Write and/or procure weekly blogs for the National Wildlife Federation Outdoors website
Produce and/or procure regular video content for National Wildlife Federation Outdoors
Build and maintain National Wildlife Federation Outdoors media contact list
Produce regular updates and action alerts for the National Wildlife Federation Outdoors contact list
Build monthly Outdoors newsletter
Procure, produce and submit sporting-related articles for National Wildlife magazine
Produce and/or solicit from sporting staff articles and blogs for affiliate publications when appropriate
Write articles for external sporting publications advancing National Wildlife Federation’s brand, mission, and issues to sporting audiences.
Design and Manage Web and Digital Platforms:
Maintain the National Wildlife Federation Outdoors website and social media platforms
Curate content and grow engagement for National Wildlife Federation Outdoors website, social media platforms, and podcast.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, communications, conservation, or related field
At least three years of experience in a Communications or related position, with demonstrated skill in both print and visual communications, social media management, generation of earned media, and website content creation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with sporting audiences
Strong organizational and project-management skills
Skilled copy editor with a strong eye for detail;
Proficiency with PC-based software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign;
Creativity, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines;
Self-starter, independent thinker, creative problem solver, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
Authentic experience in hunting and fishing
Audio/video content creation and editing skills
Existing relationships with partner conservation organizations and outdoor media
Experience working with non-profit, mission-driven organizations; experience in conservation advocacy

The salary range for this position is currently $45,000 - $50,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
