Job Description

PeopleTec is currently seeking a junior level Cyber Security Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Candidate will be part of a team responsible for maintaining Authorization as part of the Continuous Monitoring process.  Candidate will assist with monitoring for cyber intrusions(SIEM, etc). Will triage events and escalate as required .  Will assist with continuous monitoring.  Will assist in assessing current Cyber Security (CS) posture and identify mitigations for risks. Candidate will asset with determining if there is an acceptable level of risk for system configurations that meet Cyber Security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies (e.g., DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.01, DoD 8570.01-M, AR 25-2, NIST SP800-53.  Will assist in conducting ACAS and SCAP to determine current security posture of the system. Will assist in the development of the RMF package to achieve an ATO.  Candidate will assist with the determination of the system categorization is accordance with CNSSI 1253 in areas of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Assist with eMASS entries on all required and applicable RMF controls.  Will assist with analysis to ensure the proper Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for each system component are applied. Ensure findings are properly documented in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M). Assist with creation or editing of policies, procedures, and artifacts to ensure applicable controls are met. Participate in working groups and integrated product teams (e.g. Milestone Reviews, Configuration Management etc.) as necessary Some understanding of cyber security policy and tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, and secured networks.  


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must possess a Security+ or higher Certification
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Computing Environment Certification (Windows, Linux, etc.) within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings. 
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent Minimum of 1-3 years of work related experience.


Desired Skills:

  • SIEM Experience
  • CISSP certification
  • CEH or CySA+ certification
  • Experience with NETCOM TTPs, policies and procedures
  • Current Computing Environment (CE) Certification
