Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes long and short-range strategic plans for designated areas in collaboration with college leadership.
Leads and directs faculty assignments and schedule management.
Utilizes data from enrollment and retention reports to determine the number of sections of classes to offer, finding/assigning instructors based on their credentials; determining rooms based on equipment needs, and determining the time of course offering to best suit student needs.
Facilitates recruitment, registration, enrollment, and retention of students.
Prepares and/or reviews reports that provide guidance for student programming.
Oversees the curriculum development and assessment process.
Manages partnerships with schools and institutions to provide streamlined education resulting in efficient pathways for Hawkeye’s students.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Executes personnel decisions and actions within EEOC guidelines and collective bargaining contracts when applicable. Responsible for supervising, hiring, job coaching, completion of annual staff performance evaluations, oversees assignment of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, and performs administrative tasks such as processing and approving leave requests and work load. Partners with HR regarding disciplinary matters.
Continuously analyzes and evaluates performance of faculty and makes recommendations for improvement. Manages probationary process of new faculty including required semester reviews. Leads faculty development initiatives.
Prepares reports as needed for college, state, federal, or other entity reporting requirements.
Conducts advisory meetings to provide guidance on the directions of the programs.
Collaborates with other designated HCC personnel regarding course and program offerings for concurrent enrollment with school districts within the service area.
Collaborates with high school and higher education institutions to assure seamless transfers.
Resolve faculty and student issues to include by meeting with faculty and students to discuss concerns.
Provides guidance regarding resolutions.
Collaborates with other community colleges to deliberate programs of study.
Collaborates with faculty to assess HCC equipment as well as assess future equipment needs within the departments and discipline areas.
Keep apprised of higher education regulations and requirements, and developments via statewide community college meetings, conferences, and seminars, and other professional development avenues.
Partners with facility management to provide updated and safe learning environments.
Manages the designated area(s) budget to include grants, professional development, and over all purchasing needs.
Manages materials and supplies; works with faculty and administrative assistants to assess needs, sourcing, and price determination. Facilitates the requisition and purchase order process.
Oversees assigned program area for accreditation and works with local school districts and the Iowa Department of Education regarding requirements for accreditation.
Attends HCC meetings to discuss and resolve college issues, and/or concerns.
Develops professional development opportunities for high school instructors. Works with faculty to provide courses that will provide college credit and re-licensure credits for high school instructors.
Participates on hiring committees for the selection of faculty, professional, and support service staff.
Participates in campus committees as assigned.
Conducts advisory meetings to provide guidance on the directions of the programs.
Enhances the School and College profile, resource streams, and engagement with alumni and the community.
Actively participates and supports public and community health initiatives.
Accreditation responsibilities to include obtaining knowledge of accreditation requirements for all programs that have governing bodies or required accreditation under the Dean’s direction.
Provides support to program chairs when completing required accreditation process reports.
Provides support to the college’s accreditation liaison when required for the Iowa Department of Education, NACEP and the Higher Learning Commission.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Unless otherwise approved under Hawkeye’s remote work policy, regular on campus and/or onsite attendance is considered an essential function of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a physical or natural science or healthcare discipline, education, administration, or closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years’ administration experience in post-secondary education setting with at least two (2) years full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary health or science program.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accreditation in higher education.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching instruction.
Demonstrated experience in program development, planning, curriculum and budget management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated effective strong interpersonal communication skills to positivity interact with students, faculty and staff.
Demonstrated ability to execute organization and department policies and procedures.

Anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.

Position Summary

Develops a consistent, high-quality approach to supervision, and expansion of in-house programming.
Supports assigned offices’ therapeutic programming and specific initiatives around client support.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s degree in social work or advanced degree in a related field, preferably in social work, counseling, or related specialty (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMHC).
Advanced fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required.
Licensure (or able to obtain licensure within six months of hire), SIFI certification, and experience supervising MSW interns
Minimum five years of experience working with immigrant populations, unaccompanied minors, at-risk youth, or young children (depending on the location).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in social services or non-profit organizations.
Experience providing guidance and crisis management and direct oversight of administrative and clinical supervision and staff performance evaluation.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel (including formula function), and Teams; competence with technology-related items including audio-video set-up and execution.
Demonstrated commitment to improving and/or understanding issues impacting immigrants in the U.S.; preferred experience working with trauma survivors.
Experience working with immigrant and refugee children and youth, LGBTQA communities
Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Experience supervising interns and volunteers; highly skilled at conducting outreach and managing external partnerships.
Experience in data entry and/or data management; experience in case and document database navigation such as ShareFile and Legal Server, including running and interpreting reports.
Ability to handle tech-related responsibilities including management of digital calendars and video conferencing.
Strong record of intercultural responsiveness, sensitivity and awareness, and cross-cultural communication skills, responsive practice, and a racial equity lens.
Ability to effectively conduct trainings to diverse audiences in person and virtually.
Experience working with multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively; excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s degree in social work or advanced degree in a related field, preferably in social work, counseling, or related specialty (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMHC).
Advanced fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required.
Licensure (or able to obtain licensure within six months of hire), SIFI certification, and experience supervising MSW interns
Minimum five years of experience working with immigrant populations, unaccompanied minors, at-risk youth, or young children (depending on the location).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in social services or non-profit organizations.
Experience providing guidance and crisis management and direct oversight of administrative and clinical supervision and staff performance evaluation.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel (including formula function), and Teams; competence with technology-related items including audio-video set-up and execution.
Demonstrated commitment to improving and/or understanding issues impacting immigrants in the U.S.; preferred experience working with trauma survivors.
Experience working with immigrant and refugee children and youth, LGBTQA communities

Experience supervising interns and volunteers; highly skilled at conducting outreach and managing external partnerships.

The University of Wyoming is accepting applications for the position of Director of Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Sports Medicine department for a successful DI (FBS) athletic program. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, supervising and evaluating a large staff of associate/assistant athletic trainers and student support staff (e.g., interns, volunteers, etc.);
Providing and coordinating a high level of athletic healthcare services for assigned team(s) to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries (anticipated team coverage is men’s and women’s golf or men’s and women’s cross country),
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records and proper injury documentation,
Collaborating with team physicians (in-house primary care physician and local orthopedic group) and other members of the sports medicine team (e.g., chiropractors, massage therapist, etc.);
Communicating and working in partnership with applicable coaching staffs and the multi-disciplinary team (e.g., Sports Medicine, Student-Athlete Well-Being, Sports Nutrition, Sports Performance, etc.) to provide an integrated program of year-round injury prevention and rehabilitation for applicable student-athletes.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Sports Medicine department for a successful DI (FBS) athletic program. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, supervising and evaluating a large staff of associate/assistant athletic trainers and student support staff (e.g., interns, volunteers, etc.);

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in athletic training, health science, or related field

The School of Applied Technologies is seeking a Pathway Navigator to join their team. This position is set to begin 4/1/2024 and is specially funded through a Strengthening Community Colleges grant through 2/28/2027.
As our Pathway Navigator, you work individually with students to successful completion of competency-based education (CBE) programs/courses. This is done by being a positive role model, maintaining regular contact with prospective students, current student and graduates in order to provide guidance to our students. Additionally, you assist student to overcome barriers to success in their chosen program and courses. The CBE model allows students flexibility in when they demonstrate their proficiency of specific student learning outcomes. Programs transitioning to CBE include Industrial Automation, HVAC and Welding.

Beginning with nurse home visits that occur during pregnancy and continue until the child is age two, Nurse Home Visitors provide coaching and care to first-time expectant clients. The nurse develops therapeutic relationships and utilizes concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing with parents and their families in a home visiting environment modeling client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. The Nurse Home Visitor maintains the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, as well as to policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP and of the lead agency, Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. Example Duties and Activities
Clinical
Plans and performs home visits to clients and their families in accordance with the NFP model and guidelines. Carries a caseload of 25 or more clients.
Assesses physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs of clients and their families as they relate to the NFP domains.
Assists clients and their families in establishing goals and attaining outcomes by providing education, support, and referral resources.
Coordinates access to community resources provided by NFP Guides, Goodwill staff, and partners with other outside professionals involved in providing services to clients and families.
Formulates nursing diagnosis based on nursing assessment and client goals and evaluates client progress toward stated goals and NFP outcomes.
Professional Learning and Team Development

The Kinship Navigator is a member of the Permanency Unit under the Foster Care and Adoption (FC&A) Resource and Support Program. Under general supervision of the Social Services Supervisor, performs tasks independently to protect children and build family resilience as articulated by local, state, and federal policies and laws. Working hour is Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday hours will be required. Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Connects with Spanish speaking potential kinship caregivers by phone or in person early in the family finding process
Engages with kinship caregivers identified through Family Finding to explore placement options
Provides information to kinship caregivers considering becoming certified as resource parents
Supports the kinship caregivers with the emergency foster home approval process to include completion of the mutual family assessment
Visits kinship caregivers in their homes
Uses automated technology in multiple systems to maintain client data, case records, and correspondence
Assesses and evaluates the potential kinship caregivers and provides information and resources
Collaborates with social services specialists within the Division of CYF to provide services to kinship caregivers and their families
Participates in kinship practice improvement teams within CYF and within the community
Provides support and resources to Fairfax County residents through responding to calls on the Kinship Resource Line
Works collaboratively with CYF Quality Assurance staff to evaluate kinship services and promote positive outcomes for kinship families
Provides supervisory support to staff during the absence of the unit supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure child safety and improve outcomes in families and improve outcomes in families
Illustrative Duties

Contributes to the development of protocols, policies, procedures, grants and contracts for a social services program, department, and other entities; Assists the supervisor in planning and carrying out training for new staff, providing guidance to staff. May directly supervise staff, and covers for the supervisor in their absence; Serves as a policy expert in an area of social work specialization; Conducts comprehensive clinical assessments and prepares and implements service plans; Works with clients to develop a plan of service to meet social, health, emotional and economic needs. With the client, formulates objectives and identifies actions to resolve the clients' problems; Conducts home visits to families for the purpose of monitoring, counseling and supervision; Provides crisis intervention on a timely basis to clients or families whose well being is seriously and immediately threatened, to include Child Protective Services after-hours; Conducts mediation services to families in conflict; Investigates allegations of abuse and neglect of children, elderly persons and incapacitated adults who live in the community and institutional facilities; Makes assessment of risks posed to clients in accordance with state and local policies, and works to ensure risks are eliminated or minimized; Evaluates child's readiness for placement and recommends placement, ensuring compliance with legal provisions; Evaluates and trains foster and adoptive parents; Works with the community to identify families, children and individuals needing services and to coordinate these services using a wrap-around approach; Advocates and assists families and individuals in obtaining services (e.g., mental health, intellectual disability, alcohol and drug, housing referrals, home based services, training and medical services); Communicates and works with colleagues, clients and the community in a manner that supports the agency and program goals and objectives; Participates as a contributing member on interagency, multi-disciplinary teams, community groups and professional organizations; Collaborates and contributes to child specific teams on non-agency cases as assigned to assist in identifying community resources and services for families; Assesses eligibility for foster care protect/prevent funds; Participates, collaborates and contributes to Comprehensive Services Act activities for families on caseload; Provides training and education on a variety of social work topics; Uses automated technology and hard copy files to maintain and update case data, notes, documents, records, contacts and summaries of information; Manages and maintains program data and outcomes.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Employment Standards
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree, plus three years of professional social work experience. A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Contingent upon the area of assignment, some positions within this class may require specific certification(s) prior to employment and/or the ability to acquire necessary certification(s) within a specified time period following employment. The certifications are identified in the position description and employment advertisement . CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Valid driver's license. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background, a driving record check, and a Child Protective Services check to the satisfaction of the employer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in social work (MSW) or a related human services degree
Knowledge of kinship practices and experience working with kinship families
At least four (4) years of work experience in Child Welfare
Experience working with individuals and families from diverse multi-cultural populations and facilitating community outreach.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sufficiently mobile to attend home visits, court, meetings, and community events outside the office. Ability to use automated technology. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Work requires performing tasks with risks of secondary traumatic stress (STS). Ability to navigate through and make decisions in stressful and crisis situations. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
