YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As Global Corporate Relations Lead, you will be part of a small, high-impact team that specializes in advancing the welfare of animals raised for food through outreach to major international food companies. Currently, the team’s work is focused on influencing companies to transition to 100% cage-free systems for egg-laying hens in their supply chains across the world. You will be accountable for engaging in dialogue and maintaining relationships with food companies, with a focus on companies headquartered in North America and Latin America. This work requires a high level of confidence and relentlessness, as well as excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills. This position also involves close collaboration with other animal protection groups through the Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a global coalition of 90+ animal protection organizations, to organize meetings and strategize. The ideal candidate will excel in cultural competency and be excited about building relationships. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Director of Global Corporate Relations.
This is a full-time, remote position. This position involves domestic and international travel, equivalent to up to 1-2 weeks per month, and requires a valid, up-to-date passport. The travel requirements of this role include attendance at the Open Wing Alliance Latin America Summit from September 3-5, 2024 in Mexico City.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with major multinational food companies to advance welfare for animals within their supply chains. Currently, this work is focused on holding companies accountable for fulfilling their cage-free egg commitments.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate executives at food companies. This includes email communication as well as virtual and in-person meetings.
Engage in high-pressure negotiations with executives, with the primary purpose of influencing food companies to commit to animal welfare policies. Act as the lead on negotiations for OWA global campaigns.
Conduct research on global food companies and maintain data within the team’s CRM, Salesforce.
Hold food companies accountable for meeting their commitment deadlines. Establish check-ins with companies, ensuring they disclose progress on their commitments.
Collaborate with team members intra- and inter-departmentally on campaign targets, strategy, research, commitments, and actions.
Collaborate closely with OWA member groups and other relevant organizations on corporate outreach and campaign targets.
Work closely with other members of THL’s Global Corporate Engagement team to advise on corporate relations strategy and goals.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $67,130 - $82,048 USD. At The Humane League, we believe in maintaining a fair and equitable work environment for all employees. The Job
We are seeking an Individual Giving Manager with 3-5 years of experience in a smiliar role to take the lead on defining and executing the Tor Project's strategic approach to acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Tor donors who give less than $1,000 annually. The Tor Project's approach to fundraising doesn't use privacy-invading tactics. We don't track whether or not donors have clicked on an email, a link, or a button; we don't buy or sell donor lists; we don't use invasive wealth assessment tools; and we aim to minimize the amount of information we collect during the donation process. The Individual Giving Manager must be able to prioritize donor privacy when conducting their duties and responsibilities.
Duties & responsibilities
Take ownership of the Tor Project's annual and monthly giving strategies with the primary goal of increasing small-dollar donor retention
Design and implement structures, processes, and policies required to execute these strategies
Create and maintain high-quality documentation about these structures, processes, and policies
Optimize Tor's open source, privacy-first CRM (CiviCRM) to build donor engagement using thoughtful automation and drip messaging
Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to design and execute time-bound campaigns, including Tor's annual year-end fundraising campaign
Monitor and analyze progress towards goals and use this analysis to present suggestions for improvement
Contribute to short and long-term fundraising team planning and evaluation of strategic efforts
Represent the Tor Project in-person, at virtual events, and with a variety of external stakeholders
Support Director of Fundraising and Executive Director in donor relationship management
Collaborate closely with Fundraising Coordinator to facilitate timely gift acknowledgements and accurate reporting

The Senior Global Benefits Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administrative responsibilities of the Compensation and Benefits teams of Mercy Corps, ensuring Benefits meet the unique support needs of team members in 40+ global locations. The Corporate and Business Solutions department seeks a Business & Industry Training Coordinator to join their growing team. Our training coordinators, help businesses throughout the region find solutions to workforce training and develop professional development opportunities, to help upskill underserved populations. Additionally, our training coordinators assist area businesses with grant applications and how to effectively utilize those funds. Furthermore, our training coordinators represent the Hawkeye Community College at professional events in the business community and connect our business partners with other departments at the college.

Essential Job Functions
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages a portfolio of businesses ensuring a standard for successful relationship maintenance is achieved through responsiveness to ensure their unique workforce training objectives are met; and Hawkeye Community College is the preferred training provider.
Provides consultation and assessment services to evaluate business needs and develop solutions.
Facilitates training sessions, conferences, events, and other professional development opportunities.
Monitors business feedback after training to ensure training objectives are met.
Recruits and hires independent contractors and adjunct instructors that offer planning, coordination, and development of training topics.
Develops and implements marketing strategies to include print, digital, and social media.
Prepares professional documents including contracts, proposals, and agreements. Determines pay rates and invoicing costs.
Serves as the administrator for Salesforce CRM to manage business accounts, training sales, reporting, and related documents.
Refers and assists eligible businesses to apply for grant funds. Answers questions, ensures documentation meets State compliance and advises as grants mature.
Responds to referrals and inquiries for training solutions seeking to gain a service opportunity, as applicable.
Reviews and works within a department budget. Approves invoices to be paid and reimbursement requests for grant funding.
Participates in internal and external campus committees and advisory boards as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, social/behavioral sciences, or related field and two (2) years of directly related work experience OR a combination of education and experience to total six (6) years.
Knowledge of training topics, state and federal regulations, and mandatory requirements.
Knowledge of statewide economic development programs and related legislation to guide and educate businesses.
Knowledge of various business industries and related training requirements.
Ability to travel to and from work sites and meetings, days and evenings.
Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse student population, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and video conferencing technology.
Demonstrated ability to execute organization and department policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education.
Experience with Salesforce software.
Business development/sales experience.
Experience building business relationships and networking with community groups.
Knowledge of State of Iowa grants regarding economic development and workforce training.
Working Conditions
The anticipated schedule is Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends for networking and/or professional development opportunities.
Work is performed either in or a combination of an office setting and/or classroom setting using technology. Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Sit, stand, bend, lift and move frequently during working hours. During the course of the day, interact with students, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and by computers.
Employment Status

Position Summary
The Program Coordinator will join a high-performing team to help ensure Resolution’s achievement of key objectives, specifically contributing to Resolution’s mission by supporting Resolution Fellows throughout the Fellowship lifecycle.

America Needs You - Illinois was launched in 2015. The Illinois program includes 12 Saturday workshops and several additional transfer support sessions and program events per year. This local site delivers professional development workshops to two classes, currently totaling 70 Fellows, with the goal to grow to 200 (ambitious, first-generation college students) and their Mentor Coaches (accomplished young professionals). The Illinois team works with National staff on curriculum design and development, provides holistic, career services support to Fellows and recruits a new class of Fellows and Mentor Coaches each year.
The Illinois Program Manager will work with the Illinois Executive Director and manage 1 Career Success Coordinator to ensure the successful implementation of the ANY-IL program and to help manage and cultivate stakeholder relationships. Ocean Associates Inc. (OAI) is seeking a Shellfish Researcher to provide support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle, WA. OAI is a Virginia corporation established in 2003 that provides consulting and technical services to the U.S. government, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and the private sector. We specialize in scientific program and project management, strategic planning, professional and technical services, and stakeholder engagement, supporting government contracts.
Background
There has been considerable research regarding the ecosystem effects of shellfish farming in temperate waters of the Atlantic and Pacific coast in recent years. This research includes interactions with submerged aquatic vegetation, fish and invertebrates and effects on water quality. In Washington state, there are over 250 shellfish farms across over 700 sites, most of which are located in Puget Sound.
A priority in Puget Sound is the conservation of nearshore habitat, including wetlands, submerged aquatic vegetation, estuaries, and tidal zones that make up some of the most valuable habitat for the region’s salmon and steelhead and overlap in some places with shellfish farming. Unfortunately, much of nearshore habitat in Puget Sound is lost or degraded, with more than 90 percent of tidal wetlands lost to development. That leaves salmon without essential nursery habitat they need to feed and grow strong to boost their later survival in the open ocean. This is especially concerning for Puget Sound Chinook salmon, which is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
To help address this situation, NOAA Fisheries recently developed the Puget Sound Nearshore Habitat Conservation Calculator (Nearshore Calculator). The calculator can be used to determine how much restoration is needed to offset the impacts of nearshore development. The calculator determines changes in habitat value in a common currency that represents habitat impacts as debits, and habitat improvements as credits. Developers can then offset debits with an equivalent number of credits, avoiding further net loss of nearshore habitat. Credits may come from improvements undertaken as part of the same project or from improvements in other areas in the Puget Sound region.
NOAA Fisheries is in need of assistance to help consider additions to the Nearshore Calculator to account for ecosystem effects of shellfish aquaculture in Puget Sound, based on best available science.

The employee will coordinate with the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and West Coast Region of Fisheries (Central Puget Sound Branch & Oregon/Washington Aquaculture Coordinator) to assist with the following key tasks:
Literature Review/Calculator learning: Compile and conduct an assessment of relevant literature to inform ecosystem effects of shellfish aquaculture. Assess relevance to shellfish aquaculture in the US portions of the Salish Sea including all five marine basins delineated as service areas for use with the Nearshore Calculator. Synthesize and communicate findings to scientific, management and industry audiences. Invest in in-depth learning of the nearshore calculator and Section 7(a)(2) of the Endangered Species Act, including how the calculator works, the underlying literature, data inputs, analytical approach and how it is applied to aquaculture projects. Deliverables are:Finalized list of literature and folders with PDF copies of each study. Summary files with annotations of key results and conclusions from each source. Tables, figures, presentation materials for presenting results to different audiences. Contribute to NWFSC teams that are working on related projects by participating in meetings, completing assignments, and contributing to products.
Gain Regional Expertise: When possible, conduct site visits to regional shellfish farms to gain an understanding of aquaculture practices. Take photos of gear and growing practices at each site, pending permission of the grower. When possible, join research teams in the field to promote awareness of ongoing research applications. Deliverables are:Library of photos taken at each site visit that document different types of shellfish growing practices and ongoing research.

Background
There has been considerable research regarding the ecosystem effects of shellfish farming in temperate waters of the Atlantic and Pacific coast in recent years. This research includes interactions with submerged aquatic vegetation, fish and invertebrates and effects on water quality. In Washington state, there are over 250 shellfish farms across over 700 sites, most of which are located in Puget Sound.
A priority in Puget Sound is the conservation of nearshore habitat, including wetlands, submerged aquatic vegetation, estuaries, and tidal zones that make up some of the most valuable habitat for the region’s salmon and steelhead and overlap in some places with shellfish farming. Unfortunately, much of nearshore habitat in Puget Sound is lost or degraded, with more than 90 percent of tidal wetlands lost to development. That leaves salmon without essential nursery habitat they need to feed and grow strong to boost their later survival in the open ocean. This is especially concerning for Puget Sound Chinook salmon, which is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
To help address this situation, NOAA Fisheries recently developed the Puget Sound Nearshore Habitat Conservation Calculator (Nearshore Calculator). The calculator can be used to determine how much restoration is needed to offset the impacts of nearshore development. The calculator determines changes in habitat value in a common currency that represents habitat impacts as debits, and habitat improvements as credits. Developers can then offset debits with an equivalent number of credits, avoiding further net loss of nearshore habitat. Credits may come from improvements undertaken as part of the same project or from improvements in other areas in the Puget Sound region.
NOAA Fisheries is in need of assistance to help consider additions to the Nearshore Calculator to account for ecosystem effects of shellfish aquaculture in Puget Sound, based on best available science.
Description
The employee will coordinate with the Northwest Fisheries Science Center and West Coast Region of Fisheries (Central Puget Sound Branch & Oregon/Washington Aquaculture Coordinator) to assist with the following key tasks:
Literature Review/Calculator learning: Compile and conduct an assessment of relevant literature to inform ecosystem effects of shellfish aquaculture. Assess relevance to shellfish aquaculture in the US portions of the Salish Sea including all five marine basins delineated as service areas for use with the Nearshore Calculator. Synthesize and communicate findings to scientific, management and industry audiences. Invest in in-depth learning of the nearshore calculator and Section 7(a)(2) of the Endangered Species Act, including how the calculator works, the underlying literature, data inputs, analytical approach and how it is applied to aquaculture projects. Deliverables are:Finalized list of literature and folders with PDF copies of each study. Summary files with annotations of key results and conclusions from each source. Volunteer Recruitment
Support the Program Coordinator, Guide Program with developing and implementing volunteer recruitment strategies to maintain a consistent stream of virtual volunteer mentors entering the Guide Program that ideally reflect the diversity of Resolution’s Fellows, and grow the pipeline as Fellow numbers increase.
Support the Program Coordinator, Guide Program in their work with corporate partners to maintain current relationships and recruit new corporate volunteer partners in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Programs.
Provide support to the Program Coordinator in the management of the mentor matching process for recently onboarded Resolution Fellows.
Management
Manage and support the professional growth of the Program Coordinator, Guide Program.

Prior stakeholder, relationship, or membership management experience.

Computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
Experience managing a technical platform, volunteer management systems preferred.
Friendly and outgoing personality, and comfort running trainings, webinars, and regularly networking to grow the volunteer community.

Position summary The Program Manager - Volunteer Program is the external marketing name for our internal role, Program Manager, Guide Program. The Program Manager, Guide Program will join a high-performing team to help ensure Resolution’s achievement of key objectives, with specific duties related to the successful strategy and management of the Resolution Guide Program. This role will lead communication and outreach strategies to build Guide community and support volunteer engagement initiatives that recognize members of our community for their contributions in supporting Resolution Fellows and our mission. The Program Manager will also be responsible for the rollout and implementation of our volunteer management system, HandsOn Connect. This position will also work with a Program Coordinator they manage, to set strategy to build a pipeline of Resolution Guides to support our Fellows as the organization grows. The candidate must have a flexible schedule, be prepared to join meetings and conference calls earlier and later than regular business hours – including some weekends, and be willing to occasionally travel to support the Programs Team, both nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with professional staff, Fellows, and volunteers to support programmatic goals and organizational growth as follows: Guide/Fellow Team Management
Serve as a primary point of contact and support for onboarded Resolution Guides.
Work with the programs team to support Guides through the review of monthly and semi-annual reports, problem-solving, and frequent follow-up.
Coordinate the introduction of Resolution Guides to Fellow teams in collaboration with other Program staff.

Evaluate impact and efficiency of the Guide program to ensure effectiveness and recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
