Deschutes County is accepting applications for a Budget Manager. This position is responsible for managing, planning, developing, publishing, and implementing the County's budget. Duties include developing and preparing budget documents; conducting budget analyses and developing revenue and expenditure forecasts; identifying trends impacting the allocation of budget resources; recommending budget strategies; developing internal service rates and working with Human Resources to maintain the County's legal FTE; conducting research of economic indicators, performing trend analyses and making recommendations; monitoring the budget throughout the fiscal year; developing and reviewing budget status reports; comparing year-end projections to the final budget; coordinating budget amendments; providing decision and analytical support to the Board of County Commissioners and County Administer; processing financial and technical transactions and maintaining account records; managing budgets for county-wide programs and projects that are not assigned to a specific department; and researching and analyzing transactions to resolve budget problems.
