POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for operating machinery and/or doing other assigned tasks in the Production department. May perform some phases of setup, routine maintenance or inventory with assigned equipment/materials. Ensures work is produced to quality standards and according to job ticket specifications. Ability to apply knowledge and skills to problem solve and trouble shoot on deliverables and equipment as needed. Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform most functions of the job. Ability to work in two of more production departments, operate equipment and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience: Required – 2 - 5 years of related experience
Testing: Must pass established skills test on equipment and written test on procedures as required

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
• Strong understanding of Benson’s commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the production and shipping process.
• Ability to understand and follow job instructions, both verbal and written.
• Ability to inspect products to determine quality and adherence to job ticket specifications.
• Ability to watch gauges and other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Ability to work in a production environment in a safe and productive way.
• Proficient with PACE or other production tracking software
• Be available for overtime.
• Ability to meet company’s high quality control standards
• Continuing education/certification may be required
• Performs other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Production environment
• Regularly lifts and carries very heavy objects
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching and grasping
• Standing for longer periods of time
• Handling and assembling small parts
