This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Elon Core Curriculum, which consists of the courses and experiences shared by every Elon undergraduate. The position also provides administrative support to the Periclean Scholars Program.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with two years related experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be independent, efficient at multitasking, detail-oriented, and proficient in written and spoken English with Microsoft Office skills in budgeting and data management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The program assistant is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Elon Core Curriculum (30 hrs/week) and the Periclean Scholars program (10 hrs/week).
The program assistant will perform a multitude of administrative tasks such as preparing and updating program materials, communicating with students and faculty, entering course schedules into the computer system, collecting syllabi each term from faculty, processing reimbursements, keeping up with a budget, monitoring and reallocating charges associated with Pro-Card, ordering office supplies, making phone calls, scheduling meetings and coordinating logistical arrangements for events, retrieving student records, assisting new faculty, maintaining a listserv, hiring and overseeing student workers, assisting with job searches and managing related records and correspondence, greeting people entering the office suite, taking minutes at meetings, gathering information from programs at other institutions, general problem-solving, and other duties as needed.
