JOB SUMMARY

The person in this position is responsible for the work involving the operation, care, and maintenance of the golf cart fleet at West Pines Golf Club.  This individual is also responsible for the work necessary to operate the driving range. The Golf Cart Attendant also assists in any and all maintenance procedures as directed by either the Golf Professional or the Cart Operations Team Lead.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                          

  • Assists in all work done in and around cart storage building and driving range area
  • Prepares golf cars for daily use (cleaning, parking, charging, and stocking)
  • Assists with regular maintenance procedures to golf cars, such as: checking air pressure levels in tires, maintaining appropriate water levels in batteries, and any small repairs
  • Performs regular operating procedures for driving range such as: picking the range, cleaning range balls, bagging range balls, and setting up the range for customers (daily fee or tournament operation)
  • Keeps work area neat, tidy, and free of any safety hazards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard operating practices for golf car fleet, beverage utility cart, and driving range utility cart;
  • Ability to use simple hand tools;
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal job assignments and/or crew assignments;
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis;
  • Ability to exert continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking, manipulating and heavy lifting of equipment.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is light to moderate heavy work and requires some balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.

WORK ENVIRONMENT       

Incumbent works in an environment with some heavy equipment and machinery that could result in bodily harm to co-workers or others.
