What you will do:

As a Contracts Specialist, you will develop, review and process procurements (including contracts and agreements) for personal and professional services, goods and trade services from initial request to contract execution in accordance with state and federal requirements and serve as the agency’s SPOTs Card coordinator in support of the agency’s mission and customers.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

(a) Three (3) years of paraprofessional or technical-level experience in a related field such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

OR

(b) Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree.

OR

(c) A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will; AND Two (2) years of paraprofessional or technical-level experience in a related field such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

What we are looking for (Desired Attributes):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience interpreting and applying public procurement and contracting laws, rules, or policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing with diverse groups of people, to include the ability to provide technical information in a clear, effective, and professional manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with skill in active listening, a focus on solutions, and team decision-making.
  • Ability to work as a detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Previous procurement, contracts and/or SPOTS Card experience.
  • Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
