We seek a faculty member with expertise in researching and intervening on the evolving public health challenges regarding misinformation/disinformation in a variety of subject areas such as vaccine uptake, preventive practices, cancer control, HIV/STI prevention, and/or reproductive and maternal/child health. The successful candidate may examine these dynamics within a broader social and structural context and from an intersectional and critical health equity lens. Areas of focus may include designing, administering and analyzing the effectiveness of interventions broadly related to addressing health mis/disinformation, as well as studies that document the prevalence and scope of the problem on individuals, social networks, and/or communities across settings. Of particular interest are candidates with strong expertise in social and behavioral theory and mixed methods as applied to community-engaged health research and practice.
