Position Summary:
The Associate Director of the HBCU Program directly manages the HRC Foundation’s HBCU Inclusion Excellence Initiative: a national training and certification initiative advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion on HBCU's, including the HBCU Seal of Excellence. The primary focus of the position is the HBCU LGBTQ+ Inclusion Excellence program, including outreach to HBCU leaders, technical assistance, data management,, survey review and website content. The position requires substantial direct consultation with HBCU leaders on LGBTQ+ inclusive policies and practices related to the seal of excellence process. The position also manages aspects of the National Training Program, including creation of virtual and in-person training content, training guides, and related events.
The Associate Director reports to the Director of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program (HBCU), and participates in Foundation meetings and projects.
This position is a temporary, full-time position ending approximately January 31, 2024. Possible extension depending on funding.
