PEC empowers residents to protect what makes the Piedmont a wonderful place, and works with citizens to conserve land, protect air and water quality, celebrate historic resources, build smart transportation networks.
Description
The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is seeking to hire a Human Resources and Training Director to work in our headquarters office in Warrenton, VA. This individual will lead the HR Department on a day-to-day basis and report to the President. PEC has approximately 50 full-time staff, one regular part-time staff, and periodic interns and seasonal staff working in Virginia, D.C. and Maryland.

The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) was established in 1972 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to promote and protect the natural resources, rural economy, history and beauty of the Virginia Piedmont. PEC is a national leader in land conservation, land use policy and smart growth with its main headquarters in Warrenton, Virginia and offices throughout a nine county Piedmont Region that includes Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties. PEC staff provides technical expertise and organizational support to citizen groups and governmental officials on land use policy, land conservation, transportation, water quality, historic preservation and environmental issues. One of PEC’s top priorities is to promote voluntary land conservation in the form of conservation easements.
