Basic Function
The Athletic Academic Coordinator for football and/or other sports as assigned, will be responsible for developing and implementing academic support programs that enhance the academic performance and graduation rates of student-athletes. The Athletic Academic Coordinator for football and/or other sports as assigned will work closely with coaches and support staff to ensure student-athletes receive the necessary academic guidance to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor’s degree
Experience: At least two years of experience in sports administration, academic advising or related student services field (preferably at the Division I BCS level)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Further consideration will be given to those applicants who possess:
• A Master’s Degree
• Effective time management and communication skills
• A working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience working with students with diverse learning styles
• Experience with student information systems
• Ability to demonstrate sound decision making and problem skills
