Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Support Service Worker at the Fox Developmental Center located in Dwight, Illinois. The incumbent will perform food service tasks in the Dietary Services section, storeroom, and dining areas; serves food for individuals both on-site and off-site; participates in food preparation and cleaning to maintain sanitary and safe conditions. Travels within and outside the work location in the performance of duties.

Job Responsibilities
Performs food service tasks in the Dietary Services section, storeroom, and dining areas.
Operates dishwashing machine.
Cleans kitchen and food service areas.
Prepares and travels within and outside the work location to deliver snacks, sandwiches, salads, and beverages.
5. Prepares and cleans fresh vegetables and fruits for cooking and serving.
6. Travels to work in other support service areas including dietary, grounds, outside the work location, etc.
7. Assists supervisor in orienting new employees.
8. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of High School supplemented by six months experience in food service.

Conditions of Employment
Per P.A. 098-0566, requires the ability to complete a food handling training course within 30 days of employment.
Requires the ability to perform heavy physical work.
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requires the ability to travel.
Requires the ability to pass the IDHS background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
