The Building Automation Controls Technician will provide technician support for the University’s Building Automation System (BAS) to include startup and commissioning of systems, automatic temperature control, lighting control and energy management. Will assist in routine maintenance of existing DDC systems, and installation of control components. Verification of systems including point-to-point operation, Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of MS/TP and IP networks to include 3rd party integration. Implement energy conservation projects.
1-yr trade school certification in HVAC, Computer Science, Industrial Automation or related field.
2 years of industry related technical field experience including working with HVAC systems, DDC systems, software control systems, and device calibration are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
