Job Description: The Pennsylvania Agriculture Projects Coordinator is a fast-paced full-time position working under supervision of the Senior Agriculture Projects Manager. The successful candidate will work directly with farmers and a diverse set of project partners on water quality improvement and climate change mitigation practices, community engagement, riparian and upland reforestation efforts, and more. The Coordinator will also provide strategic support for the Alliance’s broader Agriculture Program efforts. Substantial outreach to farmers and fieldwork (approximately 60% of time) is necessary, and, thus, field-savviness is integral to this position.
Specific Duties of the Position:
Coordinate the planning and implementation of agriculture best management practices, primarily focused in central Pennsylvania (Centre, Clinton, Union, Snyder, Mifflin, Juniata, Blair, Huntingdon, Lycoming)
Conduct farmer outreach within current Alliance-corporate partnership frameworks.
Provide direct on-site farm support as needed, approximately 60% of the work week.
Build and maintain relationships with farmers, partner organizations, technical service providers, contractors, and federal and state agencies. Facilitate meetings as appropriate.
Manage communications between various parties involved in project execution.
Oversee some components of project budgets. As delegated, ensure timely payments, invoices, reimbursements, reporting on associated projects is maintained.
Support the Alliance’s overall Agriculture Program strategic efforts
Pursue funding that enables the Alliance to meet its Strategic Goals through the Agriculture Program. Includes leading and collaborating in multiple, varied, successful grant proposals.
Participate in Alliance strategic planning efforts, internal committee, and problem-solving oriented teams as assigned.
Contribute to the Alliance’s various Agriculture Program team efforts.
Support external facing communications efforts to engage the Alliance’s diverse audiences.
Provide event support, meeting coordination, and other administrative assistance as appropriate.
Provide assistance in office/facilities management, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, natural resources management, biology, environmental science, or other relevant field. A Master’s degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience. Candidates with alternative education, but with extensive relevant professional experience, will also be considered.
2+ years relevant professional experience (which may include internships) related to the tasks of this position.
Experience successfully working with farmers or landowners in agricultural conservation.
Working technical knowledge of agricultural best management practices.
Strong communications skills, internally as part of a team and also with external audiences.
Great time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Problem-solver, objective decision maker.

This position requires travel approximately 60% of the time, primarily to sites across central PA, but occasionally to other parts of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, including to the Alliance’s Lancaster, PA Office. Some night and weekend work is required. The position is full-time (40 hours per week).
The Alliance will require the successful applicant to submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of a qualifying federal exemption) prior to the candidate's first day as an Alliance employee. This is not required at time of application.

LCVEF’s work to protect and advocate for the environment is rooted in our commitment to racial, social and environmental justice.
LCVEF is hiring an Institutional Giving Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining the internal systems of the institutional giving team, including working within our CRM database, Salesforce, as well as coordinating all grants tracking and reporting systems. The institutional giving team within the Development department is focused on engagement with foundations and other institutional funders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled in project management, and able to work collaboratively on project deliverables. This position includes significant growth opportunities and training for candidates interested in grants management and developing experience in institutional fundraising.
Responsibilities :
Maintain the institutional giving team’s records in the Salesforce donor database, including data entry and running reports on the team’s goals/performance and other information.
Maintain the team’s shared drive for document management and organization, including all grant agreements, submitted proposals and reports.
Update the team's language library to organize template proposals and reports, and relevant program language to ensure content is up-to-date, easily accessible and reflects our commitment to racial justice and equity.
Run incoming grant review process, including serving as team liaison with the financial, legal, and executive teams to get approval and signature for grants, as necessary.
Manage the team’s shared worklog to ensure that all funder deliverables (LOIs, proposals, reports, etc.) and other tasks are completed and submitted in a timely and professional manner.
Support the team in grant submission and reporting including navigating grant submission portals, formatting and uploading materials, etc. in accordance to the guidelines of a variety of funders.
Provide administrative support for internal coordination meetings with program staff and other departments, as needed, including scheduling and preparation of materials.
Coordinate with the Controller on the finance team to acquire necessary financial documents for proposals and reports.
Help contribute to and track the team’s racial justice and equity work and help ensure an inclusive organizational culture. Tracking may include running and sharing reports to ensure all written materials are reviewed for consistency with our organizational and programmatic racial justice and equity priorities.
Support the team with other day-to-day development activities as needed.
Qualifications :
Work Experience: Required - Minimum of 2 years of administrative or project management experience. Experience working with a database. Preferred - Experience in development. Experience working with the Salesforce database.
Skills: Excellent organization and project management skills. Excellent follow-through and attention to detail, with the ability to track and maintain multiple critical priorities and ability to take ownership of routine tasks.
