JOB PURPOSE
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment while transporting material and is also responsible for the pre equipment inspection. The position may require manual loading and unloading of material with or without a pallet jack. May be required to assist in other departments (i.e. shipping and inventory) as the business needs dictate.

Moves, controls, devices to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas.
Organizes and secures materials where balance sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
Performs routine pre inspection on equipment to ensure its working properly.
Manually loads or unloads material from pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
Receives inventory when required, responsible for receipt of daily inbound and return items.
This position also requires count accuracy of items to ensure all items are received or returned are in satisfactory condition.
Consults with and works with managers, supervisors, employees, and vendors to coordinate loading and unloading operations.
Compiles and maintains quantity, type, and value of material, merchandise, or supplies stocked in inventory.
Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory manually or using computer.
Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.

1. Responsible for the repair and replacement of locks, door closers and various hardware for locking systems. Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and installs locks/locking systems as appropriate. Performs tasks required from work orders, building inspections and preventive maintenance. Maintains safety/security and integrity of all facilities. Maintains lock and key security and uniformity, including implementation of system changes, making, controlling and issuing keys and repairing and/or replacing locks and door hardware as required. Communicates with supervisor and facilities staff to determine scope of contracted repair and/or maintenance work. Performs locksmith duties throughout the college campus and in various college buildings, dormitories, historic homes, office buildings and large facilities. Responds to assigned work orders with a sense of urgency and ensures appropriate and timely resolution. Operates mobile electronic device to access, update, and complete work orders to include all appropriate information to reflect action taken, labor hours, parts, materials and other historical and cost related items.

2. Establishes and maintains uniformity in locking systems to ensure accessibility by appropriate personnel to all buildings on campus, while simultaneously ensuring the security of the buildings. Maintains an accurate database of key codes, key distribution and key policies/procedures, as well as, an accurate inventory of trade related tools and other equipment. Responsible for implementing and maintaining electronic and hardcopy records and procedures associated with the distribution and return of all keys. Issues keys to authorized recipients, including staff, faculty, and students.

Responsible for ensuring that furniture, floors, walls, & surrounding work area is protected from dust & debris while work is being performed. Also responsible for ensuring that all job sites are thoroughly cleaned when work has been completed.

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Reuse Specialist to join its Auxiliary Services group. This is an inaugural position aimed to inspire creativity, conservation, and community engagement through thoughtful reuse programs and activism.
The Reuse Specialist will recommend process improvements to divert items from landfill, while reducing the need for new purchases for the campus and students. They will actively foster a team setting, with keen attention to the diverse needs of student body, pedagogical practice and the greater providence arts community, as well as oversee student staff. While actively participating in short-, mid- and long-range planning to assure that emerging trends are reflected in services provided, they will communicate with students, faculty, and staff regarding services and acquire feedback to gauge successes and challenges. This position also promotes and educates campus on program offerings, cultivating relationships and collaborations with the RI arts community.

Essential Functions/Duties:
Responsible for the day to day administrative work associated with operating the 2nd Life Exchange including creating and disseminating both online and print promotions and communications, staffing students and volunteers, and providing input to the development of existing organization policies and procedures, inventory management, financial tracking, and communication. Regularly coordinates with the stores on inventory management and public sales.
Leads the Campus furniture and equipment reuse program. Maintains website content used to inform and engage the campus community on reuse programs. The Production Supervisor plans and monitors material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
