Position Summary

The City of Lewisville's Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking a Reservations Clerk to be a part of a great team that serves over 100,000 community members.

For example, starting pay for new hires is $14.65 per hour. For employees returning for a second year, the hourly rate increases to $15.15, with further incremental increases for additional years up to six. Entry: $14.65/hour

Year 4: $16.16
Year 5: $16.67

Responsible for facility, ballfield, and LLELA reservations.  Assists other department/division personnel as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as a point of contact for the recreation department.
  • Answers and directs phone calls and replies to email requests for information.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence such as mail, email, and voicemail. 
  • Maintains official department records via electronic and hard-copy methods as appropriate.
  • Prepares and/or enters a variety of information into applicable documents, spreadsheets, databases, membership systems, forms, notices, and other related areas. 
  • Registers program participants, processes membership applications and reserves facilities utilizing designated recreation software. 
  • Coordinates reservations, usage permits, billing and day-to-day operations for facility, ballfield, and LLELA reservations.
  • Maintains knowledge of and provides information on services and functions provided by the City of Lewisville.

Position Qualifications

Education

  •  High School Diploma or GED.

 
Experience

  • One year of clerical/secretarial experienced required.

Skills:

  • Skill in use of personal computer including Microsoft Office, Open Office or similar word processing programs, e-mail and the internet.

 
Other Requirements:

  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be available to work at least 19 hours a week.

Work Hours

28 hours a week, Monday- Thursday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Friday 10:00 Am to 2:00pm.
