Job Description
The Bureau of Economic Analysis is seeking a highly-motivated and capable executive to serve as the Chief, Direct Investment Division.
This position is a Senior Executive Service (SES) General position. Positions in the SES are not graded. SES pay is commensurate with qualifications. SES employees are eligible for bonuses and awards based on performance. Veteran's preference is not applicable to SES.
The Chief, Direct Investment Division will be responsible for:
Producing the official U.S. statistics on foreign direct investment and multinational enterprises.
Directing current and developmental work on the measurement of foreign direct investment, emphasizing improvements in the review and analysis of financial and operating data of multinational companies and direct investment transactions and positions, efficiency of data collection, database management, and estimation, along with survey coverage and data quality.
Monitoring major economic developments and problems concerning all aspects of foreign direct investment and the characteristics of entities engaged in such investment.
Overseeing the review and analysis of the financial and operating data reported by U.S. businesses to deliver high quality statistics that are used for policy-making and business purposes.
Travel Required: Occasional Travel
Description: Travel may be required to attend or present at meetings and conferences on topics relevant to BEA's mission.
