The Director, Product Development, Training Supplies and Equipment will work collaboratively with other directors of product management to support their entire product development process delivering high-quality products in line with market and stakeholder needs. In addition, this role will work closely with Training Services , Chief Medical Officer, SAC, Customer Service, Service Delivery, Sales, Marketing and external partners/consultants to establish product requirements; create comprehensive product development plans; identify product development resource needs to meet product requirements; and managing the relationship with third-party development partners while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product requirements, quality assurance and delivery timing are met.  In addition, the position will identify new market product opportunities, market dynamics, technology, and industry best practices as inputs to creating industry-leading products. Job Responsibilities: Product Delivery:  Works across a diverse team of internal product team members and external partners to translate customer needs into product requirements. Establishes delivery strategy and process required to deliver products including all elements go-to-market requirements across Training Services. Design and Planning: Leads and organizes the research, design, and development of training products in support of all training courses. Responsible for scheduling product development timeline and operating effectively within budget to ensure all milestones are delivered on time and within budget. Provide status reporting to senior leadership to ensure full execution of product deliverables. Product Quality: Leads the development, analysis and integration of the quality assurance process. Cross-Functional Team Management: Provides strategic direction and works collaboratively with a cross-functional team comprised of colleagues from across Training Services including external manufacturers, product management, IT, sales, service delivery, marketing and business operations and with third-party partners to release products.  Works closely with the eCommerce and Retail Store teams to ensure product availability on the store site. Personnel Management: Provides overall direction and support to product development team regarding training products. Provides direct supervision to senior level managers and team of contractors in effort to help them achieve product development goals. Interfaces with senior leadership. Market Insights and Competitive Landscape:  Thoroughly understands customer needs, technological innovations, and industry and instructional design best practices to ensure innovative and industry-leading products. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 4-year college degree in Marketing, Business or related field 10 to 15 industry experience in product development, project management, content strategy, and/or portfolio management required. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience required. Skills and Abilities: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Proven “go to marketing” preferred.
