Must have at least five (5) years of rotary wing maintenance experience
Must have at least 3 years of NDI experience
Must have Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Level II qualification for Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particles, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing disciplines; Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Level III qualification preferred
Must have Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License
Technical or Military School Training is desired
Must have Active Passport and ability to obtain and maintain an Afghanistan Visa
Must be capable of passing background check
Must be capable of passing a drug screen
Must be capable of passing MOD15 Physical and dental exam to meet CENTCOM deployment standards (please ask for details if you are unfamiliar with this requirement)
Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts
Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
This job requires a working knowledge of technical publications
Must be able to prioritize workloads and is required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks
Must be capable of qualifying to perform Hazardous Flight duties as Crewmembers/Non-Crewmembers
Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds. Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar, warehouse setting and outdoors in an austere environment. Candidates should be able to adapt to environments listed. There may be exposure to high noises, exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, and Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks. This position must be able to work comfortably outdoors and may be exposed to hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
