The Partnership Coordinator will support the Regional Partnership Program through coordination, capacity building, and outreach. This role relies on the ability to actively listen and facilitate meaningful actions to expand regional collaboration and planning efforts and advance partner-prioritized ecological restoration activities.
Program Coordination: Support Regional Partners in the advancement of locally-driven ecological restoration and climate resiliency priorities through planning and implementation efforts. Assist the Partnership Program with grant review, budget development, and program evaluation.
Capacity Building: Engage with Regional Partners and other watershed-based organizations to evaluate the needs and obstacles for regional and local ecological restoration capacity building; contribute to the development of tools, approaches, trainings, and best practices that address capacity building needs; and work with Partnerships to share and help implement capacity building solutions.
Program Outreach: Develop working relationships with regional NGOs, agencies, and other stakeholders to share ideas, collaborate on approaches, and identify synergies for building restoration capacity throughout the Commonwealth.
This position will be based in DER's Boston office. Once established in the role, a hybrid schedule consisting of in-office work and telework will be provided. In-state travel to conduct site visits and meetings is also required. Salary commensurate with experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, environmental planning, urban studies, architecture, landscape architecture, civil, environmental, or transportation engineering, environmental sciences, or a closely related field with at least three years of relevant professional work experience.
Knowledge of social, political, economic, legal, technical, and ecological factors, trends, and challenges associated with planning and implementing ecological restoration and nature-based climate adaptation activities.
Understanding of the unique climate impacts and resilience challenges facing aquatic ecosystems and surrounding communities, such as sea level rise, extreme weather events, and changing patterns of precipitation and temperature.
Familiarity with strategies for effective, collaborative projects with public agencies, non-profit organizations, and municipalities.
Familiarity with building trusting relationships between organizations, stakeholders with disparate interests, and marginalized or underrepresented communities.

Job Description:
The Pennsylvania Agriculture Projects Coordinator is a fast-paced full-time position working under supervision of the Senior Agriculture Projects Manager. The successful candidate will work directly with farmers and a diverse set of project partners on water quality improvement and climate change mitigation practices, community engagement, riparian and upland reforestation efforts, and more. The Coordinator will also provide strategic support for the Alliance’s broader Agriculture Program efforts. Substantial outreach to farmers and fieldwork (approximately 60% of time) is necessary, and, thus, field-savviness is integral to this position.
Specific Duties of the Position:
Coordinate the planning and implementation of agriculture best management practices, primarily focused in south central and south east Pennsylvania
Conduct farmer outreach within current Alliance-corporate partnership frameworks.
Provide direct on-site farm support as needed, approximately 60% of the work week.
Build and maintain relationships with farmers, partner organizations, technical service providers, contractors, and federal and state agencies. Facilitate meetings as appropriate.
Manage communications between various parties involved in project execution.

Job Description:
The Pennsylvania Agriculture Projects Coordinator is a fast-paced full-time position working under supervision of the Senior Agriculture Projects Manager. The successful candidate will work directly with farmers and a diverse set of project partners on water quality improvement and climate change mitigation practices, community engagement, riparian and upland reforestation efforts, and more. The Coordinator will also provide strategic support for the Alliance’s broader Agriculture Program efforts. Substantial outreach to farmers and fieldwork (approximately 60% of time) is necessary, and, thus, field-savviness is integral to this position.
Specific Duties of the Position:
Coordinate the planning and implementation of agriculture best management practices, primarily focused in south central and south east Pennsylvania
Conduct farmer outreach within current Alliance-corporate partnership frameworks.
Provide direct on-site farm support as needed, approximately 60% of the work week.
Build and maintain relationships with farmers, partner organizations, technical service providers, contractors, and federal and state agencies. Facilitate meetings as appropriate.
Manage communications between various parties involved in project execution.
Oversee some components of project budgets. As delegated, ensure timely payments, invoices, reimbursements, reporting on associated projects is maintained.
Support the Alliance’s overall Agriculture Program strategic efforts
Pursue funding that enables the Alliance to meet its Strategic Goals through the Agriculture Program. Includes leading and collaborating in multiple, varied, successful grant proposals.
Participate in Alliance strategic planning efforts, internal committee, and problem-solving oriented teams as assigned.
Contribute to the Alliance’s various Agriculture Program team efforts.
Support external facing communications efforts to engage the Alliance’s diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, natural resources management, biology, environmental science, or other relevant field. A Master’s degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience. Candidates with alternative education, but with extensive relevant professional experience, will also be considered.
2+ years relevant professional experience (which may include internships) related to the tasks of this position.
Experience successfully working with farmers or landowners in agricultural conservation.
Working technical knowledge of agricultural best management practices.

Supervision : The Agriculture Projects Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Agriculture Projects Manager
Hours and Location: The Agriculture Projects Coordinator is based at the Alliance’s Lancaster, Pennsylvania Office with some ability to work from home. This position requires site visits approximately 60% of the time, primarily across south central PA but occasionally to other parts of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Some night and weekend work is required. The position is full-time (40 hours per week). Primarily remote-based candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities
Provide support to assigned project teams;
Conduct media tracking and build media lists;
Pitch to the media;
Draft media audits;
Create digital content;
Conduct research;
Craft first drafts of materials;
Take diligent internal and client‐facing meeting notes;
Provide error‐free copy editing according to AP Style and Spitfire style guides;
Create PowerPoint presentations according to Spitfire style guide;
Offer general office and client support;
Contribute creative and strategic ideas to projects and implement them;
Consistently meet project deadlines;
Submit time and expenses by deadline and follow company policies.
Follow company policies as detailed in the handbook;
Contribute to a positive work culture; and,
Travel as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience and six‐12 months full‐time office experience, internship or other relevant experience. Knowledge of current events. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in using MS Office software and internet research tools. A demonstrated interest in helping to promote positive social change. Candidate should be a highly motivated self‐starter who takes direction well but can also work independently, thrives on variety and shift directions seamlessly.
Client service experience and knowledge of Meltwater, Lexis‐Nexis, Cision, Slack and Nuvi is a plus.
Compensation Account coordinators are full‐time employees. The starting salary range for this position is equivalent to $38,250 to $43,250 per year. Spitfire’s compensation package also includes 100% paid health and dental insurance for employees, generous paid time off, 15 – 16 paid holidays per year, a 401(k) plan, summer hours and in-office perks.
Location This position may be in any Spitfire office or may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Spitfire offices are located in Denver, New York, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
