The event will convene in-state experts, strategists, renowned progressive leaders and many of America Votes’ partners and allies to dive into best practices for grassroots mobilization, analyze state-based strategies for issue advocacy and electoral campaigns, and identify key areas of focus in the shared fight to build back progressive power in the states. The America Votes State Summit is a mainstay in progressive organizing, annually attracting hundreds of attendees from across the country since 2009.  The State Summit events assistant will learn about the day-to-day operations of America Votes and be heavily involved with planning and executing the event. The ideal candidate will be a smart, hardworking, detail-oriented go-getter who will make sure the 2019 summit goes off without a hitch. The ideal candidate for the role will have a knack for attention to detail, a passion for organization and the drive to get things done.
