The Speckled Trout Marina is located in Ozona, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico seven miles north of Clearwater Beach. It is one of four small marinas located within a quarter-mile strip along St. Joseph Sound and within one-half mile of two larger marinas with covered wet slips and high and dry boat storage facilities. The Intercostal waterways adjoin STM to the north and south and to the west are Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands providing some of the world’s best scenery, fishing, and beaches.
Established in the early 1900's, Speckled Trout Marina is a century old fishing camp whose waters were once adorned with countless fishnets and work boats where waterman plied their trade. For decades, the Marina's waterfront west of Bayshore Drive provided fisherman dockage and access to the Gulf of Mexico; while the adjacent upland property between Bayshore and Banana Street served as the Marina boatyard. Boats, trailers, fishnets, and traps were stored upland to support the many fisherman and boaters who called Speckled Trout Marina their home port.
