PURPOSE     The Evening Shelter Staff works to support the 24/7 services at The Landing, a shelter that provides services to young adults experiencing homelessness. PURPOSE The Relief Overnight Residential Youth Counselor works in a collaborative environment to support unaccompanied refugee and immigrant youth ages 16-20 at New Roads, and youth experiencing homelessness ages 7-17 at Youth Haven. PURPOSE    The Relief Residential Youth Counselor works on an intermittent or as needed basis to fill in a shift normally worked by a full time Residential Youth Counselor in our licensed residential programs for youth. The primary responsibility of the Relief Residential Youth Counselor is ensuring the safety, support and supervision of all youth in our staffed residential programs.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES  Maintain a comfortable living environment by demonstrating to youth that they are respected and understood as individuals; by demonstrating that adults can help them deal with challenging behaviors without being punitive, retaliatory, rejecting.   Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of all youth in the program and to be aware of their whereabouts at all times.   Maintain daily communication log, and milieu notes of youths’ whereabouts, activities and behavior for each youth.   Help youth develop appropriate and healthy relationships with peers and staff.   Report any known or suspected abuse, exploitation or neglect of youth in consultation with management to Child Protective Services.   Facilitate regularly scheduled groups and structured activities as requested.   Demonstrate acceptance of, and establish a positive relationship with each youth. PURPOSE     The Drop-In Center Staff supervises the Redmond Youth Service Center’s Drop-In Center for homeless young adults ages 16-24.   PURPOSE   The Bilingual Case Manager provides a full range of case management services to youth in Foster Care, which includes working with foster parents, birth parents, and identified supports to assist the youth toward legal residency and permanency. The Case Manager coordinates all case planning among the team members, which includes researching and screening families to be potential sponsor resources for the youth.    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES   Maintain children and youth caseloads for youth 0-17 years of age, including females and males, pregnant teens, and newborn babies. Standard caseloads will consist of 8 to 12 clients. Caseloads may increase if multiple family-level foster children are assigned.   Provide and coordinate program services in a manner that is sensitive to the culture, native language, and special needs of Division of Children’s Services (DCS) youth. The Mental Health Therapist provides mental health services to youth under the Division of Children’s Services (DCS) grant through the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This position models a caring, healthy, and secure treatment approach for Foster Care staff and demonstrates an interest in youth developing coping skills. The Mental Health Therapist also consults with Case Managers and staff team members in understanding the mental health needs of the youth in their care and provides trainings for foster parents. This position requires a high level of collaboration with programs across DCS Residential Treatment Services and is supervised by the Clinical Program Manager of Foster Care. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES  Provide clinical services including individual and/or group and family therapy for DCS foster care youth.  Provide case consultation and coordination of services with collateral contacts and advocacy for assigned clients.  Train staff and foster parents in mental health issues, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and cultural sensitive interventions for youth.  Maintain an assigned caseload of DCS long term and therapeutic foster care adolescents residing in licensed foster homes; this includes conducting and supervising individual, group and family counseling sessions on both a spontaneous and scheduled basis. Maintain case records and ensure documentation meets Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Council on Accreditation (COA), and DCS requirements. Monitor implementation of requirements of the DCS. Maintain a healthy working relationship and good collaboration with all DCS contract sites and staff.
